Best Hotels near Ullmann＇s Laden, Dresden

We spent seven nights in Dorint Dresden for a private stay in Dresden. A major advantage of this hotel is its traffic-friendly location: the old town with its attractions is in a footing distance, the tram driving in Dresden at close distances holds almost outside the door. The hotel itself is not new, but the public areas make a well-treated impression and our standard room to the indoor courtyard on the second floor was clean, spacious and very quiet. The room design is originated from another time, which has not disturbed us, but modernisation should necessarily be accompanied by additional sticks. The service in the house was professional, the staff were friendly and accessible to the guests' concerns at any time. The breakfast offer was in line with the ”international standard” for a hotel of this category, the fresh egg food and the associated supplements were much better than in many other hotels. Critically, the great offer of sauce and bakery products in Dresden and the surroundings was only extremely limited - backbrushes, cutting etc. were acceptable standard products as they exist everywhere, But with which you don't even get off. Damn. The high prices in the deep garage (17 Euros per day) criticized in other reviews can easily be handled with a 10 Euro cheaper parking behind the hotel. However, this price policy is incomprehensible. On the house policy of non-cleaning of rooms for sustainability reasons, note: The daily cleaning of rooms can be logged in at check-in - you are explicitly asked by the receptionist - that then works without any mistake. It is only strange that Dorint does not give incentives to refrain from cleaning - targeting a bad consciousness is rather contraproductive. Finally, the daily opening of the bar in a well-booked hotel should be obvious. The bar staff makes a great job. Overall, Dorint Dresden is very recommendable for a short stay, even if there and there is still ”air up”. We would come back.

This is a true luxury hotel with some significant history. The hotel is beautiful, and the rooms are outfitted to a high standard. The location is perfect for touring, with easy walking to the various sites within the old town of Dresden. My wife and I stayed in one of the standard rooms on the top floor, and even with a king bed, it was a spacious room with two chairs, a desk, and entertainment cabinet. The marble bathroom was huge, although if you have mobility issues, getting in and out of the deep tub shower might be difficult. There are many restaurants and bars in the area, so we did not experience either at the hotel. I'd stay there again without hesitation.

Everything is good. The only shortcoming is the lights in the house. There are two main switches, one for the washing area and the other for all other lighting in the house. You have to turn it off or on. I wanted to turn on the desk lamp independently, but it failed because it was linked to the main switch.

Best positive surprise on my whole trip. Very good location, not in the center but few steps to the train station Dresden-Neustadt, tramway in front of the hotel and also around the corner, 5 min to the Barock Viertel with lots of restaurants and bars and approx 15min walking right into the center/ old town. Very clean and modern rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, friendly helpful staff and moderate rates.

The hotel is located next to the Frauenkirche in Dresden. There are many attractions around it. There is a square outside the living room and bedroom windows, and it is also close to the Brühl platform and the princely column map. We are a family of three, a couple with a nine-year-old child, the hotel fee is paid through Ctrip in advance, the child does not have an extra bed, and an extra 5 euros per night will be charged when checking in. It feels that European double beds are made of two single beds. The overall feeling of staying in was good, the second and third photos were taken hurriedly and unclearly. There is a dedicated living room, which is very convenient for watching TV and eating. The kitchen and toilet are not photographed. The kitchen does not have an oven and has an electric stove. The toilet is not small, there is a washing machine, but we haven't used it.

This is an outstanding hotel. It is located across the street from the train station, but is incredibly quiet. The place is immaculate and the interior design is very well done. The hotel was remodeled in 2021 and it looks brand new. Staff was very attentive and fluent in English. The room was decent sized for a European hotel. We were able to leave our bags in the hotel after checking out so we could tour Dresden before taking a train out of town. It's one of the nicer hotels we've stayed at in recent years

We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.

It is a great hotel, the service is top. The Hotel Crew is friendly. Breakfast buffet is rich and fresh. The rooms are large and friendly furnished. The location is so that you can also reach the city walking distance and about 10 minutes. We could park our car in the deep garage for 12 nights , I think on the street with a parking ticket we would have come more expensive and it would not have been so safe. We are satisfied and will come back in any case . Thanks to the hotel team !!!!!

The Dormero Hotel is located near Dresden Airport. Car you are in the city within a few minutes. Parking is free. Within 10-15 minutes you can also walk to various restaurants in the quite beautiful Dresden district. Before the hotel you can sit a cozy evening and drink something. The rooms are already a little used to and not of size 4-Sterne-Standard. The bathroom is large enough and clean. At late arrival I found that other rooms have no room card anymore and therefore could not leave the room at night, an absolute NoGo. But overall price performance is okay.
