It is near the old town, a 5-minute walk away. Although the room is relatively small, it is very comfortable and clean overall. It is a very cost-effective choice

It is very close to the Conservatory of Music. There is a tram station not far away to go to various attractions in the city center. The hotel breakfast is also very considerate

I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite during my weekend stay. The hotel is in a good location but a little bit inconvenient to public transportation. You have to walk a little bit but at least you have a lot of options. The check in staff was very friendly and welcoming. The elevators are located directly across from the check in desks so they can see who is coming and going. The suite was so spacious. There was a separate seating area with a TV and a separate TV in front of the bed. Two TVs! The desk was perfect for getting some work done prior to starting my weekend. The bathroom had a separate bathtub and shower and bath salts were provided at the bathtub. It was mostly straightforward to connect my phone to stream to the TV. One hiccup was when I would aim the remote at one TV, it would affect the other TV, like turn it on or off unexpectedly. I received a welcome gift of a small bottle of mulled wine and a small chocolate, which was quite kind. The bar downstairs was bumping in the evenings and the bartender was helpful with my beer questions. I had an overall nice stay at this hotel and would recommend staying here for your Dresden adventure.

This is a typical soulless chain hotel that looks good on paper but simply does not master any of the details the way a fine hotel would. The rooms and lobby look good from a distance but everything is built to a budget and a fairly modest one at that. Most notably, our bed had cheap, scratchy linens and a sub-standard mattress. The breakfast was also truly awful - a bunch of mass-produced baked and other goods that overall was easily the worst he had on our trip. Finally, the hotel is located outside of the city center, which may be appealing if one has a car but also means that it is a bit far from the tourist areas. I will note that the staff were pleasant and were moderately helpful. Overall, given the issues noted above, I would recommend that people look elsewhere for a hotel in Dresden.
Response from Property: Hello, Marc M Thank you for your comments, which will help us improve our service in the future. I fully understand how you feel about not receiving the quality of service you expected. We are very sorry for that. Our staff will definitely do better next time. My sister and I stayed at the Indigo for 4 days and I wish it had been longer. It is cozy, charming, friendly, organized and welcoming. We LOVED every minute. The folks at the front desk are so lovely and helpful. When we checked in early morning, we had expected to store our luggage and come back at check-in time. They put us in a nicer room that happened to be available. The room was an A+++...couch and seating area, lots of storage, huge bathroom, comfortable beds, a desk, floor-to-celing windows, nightstands and two small tables, 2 flat screen TVS (one over the desk and one facing the beds) plus a small bench and mirror by the closets. We also received apple wine and chocolate as a welcome gift. Breakfast was bliss and they get points for an early start (6:30/M-F; 7:00/weekends). We also sat in the lobby for drinks one night and it was so relaxing. Honestly, if I could snap my fingers and be there right now, I would. The whole vibe is funky, cool, down-to-earth and trendy. The location is awesome. Convenient, quiet, accessible.

Pros: -Rooms are all quiet and ours overlooked a small park outside. -Nice cocktail bar and breakfast in lobby offered if you just want to relax. -Staff was very kind and attentive. Housekeeping was very pleasant and did a great job in the facility! -Short walk to central Dresden for a great price and newer hotel. Cons: -No laundromat in building or very close by so we ended up washing some clothing in our sink. -Breakfast is a bit pricey by German standards for this market. Would recommend going down the street a few blocks to grab some danishes, yogurt and fruit at the Rewe supermarket and enjoy in their small eating area instead.

This is a nice, quirky hotel (see pictures) less than 5 minutes from Dresden Mitte station and 10/15 minutes from the centre of the old town. A special mention to the girl (blond hair) on reception. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was fine. My room was quiet and clean. The only slight ******* were: the restaurant and bar were closed due to covid. This, I think is a poor excuse. The restaurant is open for breakfast so why not dinner? Breakfast is also quite expensive at €18. There seems to be (wherever one goes) a reduction of services but with no accompanying reduction of prices. The only other ****** was that I had to remind the reception to make sure my room was cleaned. Overall, a nice, quirky, reasonably-priced hotel. But please change the pillows. My pillows were the bumpiest, most uncomfortable ones I have ever come across!

The hotel itself is fine and serviceable, pretty much what you would expect of a hotel chain. Their personal website had a picture of a pool even though there isn’t one on property, kinda misleading. The location is ok, a bit of a walk to the city center tourist areas. Mostly a hotel for people traveling on business. The staff was very nice. The air conditioning unfortunately did not work well in our room so we asked to be moved to another room, sadly same situation there so I have to believe the rooms in general did not have good air conditioning making for a rather uncomfortable stay. There are better places to stay in Dresden if you are visiting for leisure.
