Kitzhof Inn Vermont

This is my go to place in southern VT. Great beds and pillows and a really quite place to be. It is like a luxury log cabin reminiscent of the great camps of the Adirondacks. And the hosts are super cool and laid back people. Andrew also makes incredible blueberry pancakes or cinnamon crust French toast.....with real maple syrup, of course. 3 thumbs up for this place.

4 of us on motorcycles were traveling through the Berkshires on August 30/31. We had jotted down several places to stay in different towns in Vermont, depending on where we ended up. The Kitzhof Inn was on our list, and we headed over and were met by the owners, Andrew and Erin. They had rooms available, and we checked in and were provided a quick tour of the property. This small inn has approximately 20 rooms and common areas on two floors. We were looking for a place to sleep that provided some outdoor space for cigars, libations, and storytelling. This place did not disappoint. Andrew and Erin are so accommodating, and they make you feel like you have known them for years. The rooms are small but comfortable. Just what you need between days of riding. The place is on Rt 100 and there is a small retail ***** directly across the street (you could walk) with a general store - liquor and food, and a bar next to that. There were about 5 restaurants within a few miles. This is a perfect location to spend a night or use it as a jump-off for a few days of riding. There is a fire pit area with everything you need to relax, start a fire, and spend the night tipping back a few and enjoying a cigar. Andrew came out and shared some history with us for part of the night. Andrew and Erin provided a great breakfast: pancakes, eggs cooked to order, bacon, home fries, juice, and coffee. By this time, he and his wife were part of our group, and we spent time having breakfast and sharing conversations with them. The Kitzhof is biker-friendly and hosts many groups from the New England area. There is plenty of room for groups of 15-40. Several courses are nearby during the season, and the Kitzhof also caters to golfers. Obviously, at the base of Mt. Snow, this is a great ski and stay location. We plan to return next year as we could not have had a better experience. The place is cute and comfortable, and Andrew and Erin make you feel like extended family.

I don't want anyone else to know about how GREAT this place is, Its a home away from home. The owners make every guest feel special and welcome. AMAZING Free Chocolate Chip Cookies- FREE New England Clam Chowder- The BEST Pancakes for Breakfast-Blueberry and Chocolate Chip. I LOVE THIS PLACE-Stay Away- It's Ours. The ONLY PLACE TO STAY in Vermont. Kitzhof is warm, welcoming and special. We love,love love it.

Dear Fellow Travelers, we had the pleasure of staying at the Kitzhof Inn to celebrate a good friend's birthday, and let me tell you, it was a fest that will forever echo in the halls of this fine establishment. The Kitzhof Inn is a hidden gem. From the moment we stepped inside we were greeted by the friendliest staff and given a tour of the amenities. The Kitzhof Inn's common areas and outdoor congregating location with fire pit are ideal for relaxing and sharing stories. Our rooms were cozy and comfortable. For the birthday party we brought our A-game, and the Kitzhof Inn was more than ready to match our enthusiasm. Our group was treated to a night of epic proportions, the decorations were spot on, and breakfast the following morning was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make our friend's birthday truly special. So if you're looking for a place to celebrate with a group of friends that will leave you with memories to cherish forever, look no further than the Kitzhof Inn.

We spent Labor Day weekend at the Kitzhof. We are part of a motorcycle riding group, and the inn caters to groups (Andrew, the owner, has a motorcycle as well). The package that we negotiated included our rooms, breakfast and dinners at night. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed the variety. This inn is perfect for a group. It's rustic and cozy, and the innkeepers (and family) will make your stay very enjoyable. Andrew is also very easy to deal with. Very prompt with replies to questions!

A great motorcycle destination! Plenty of beautiful roads to ride and sights to see! But the Inn itself is awesome! Under new Management, nice young owners with great energy! Both Andrew and Erin are very friendly, the breakfast is so delicious! Andrew is a terrific chef! The Kitzhof Inn has that old Vermont charm! Our home away from home! Loved our stay!
