Churchill Guest House

Approaching the end of the trip - the accommodation cannot be recommended higher. The host went above and beyond to help and guide myself and partner and saved us a lot of time by staying to explain the must see sights. Highly recommended.

Beautiful heritage building, with great attention to detail from Alex + family to ensure a wonderful stay

Our host, Alex, was very welcoming, forthcoming with a lot of useful information and the guest house had lots to offer in terms of breakfast options. Alex was so accommodating, even willing to pick up oat milk as a dairy alternative. The beds were super comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Felt like home Churchill Guest House is charming. The room was comfortable and I loved the decor, including a beautiful fold out writing desk. Lovely garden view from the window, cosy radiator heating and lots of little touches like cocoa and biscuits and a bath robe. There is a variety of things to have for a self-catering breakfast. The lounge is very comfortable with lots of interesting books on the local area, and I spent an evening there learning about the local history happily ensconced in an over-stuffed chair. The house is decorated in a way that is congruent with the age of the house contributing to an atmosphere of the past, but with all the modern comforts. A wonderful old doll's house and cat and mouse coin bank amongst many other treasures to enjoy looking at. Affordable and comfortable, a short walk from the castle and shops.

Churchill house is an absolute gem. This B&B is absolutely beautiful. The decor is in keeping with its the building’s era. Every touch possible was included. Our room was comfortable, clean and wonderfully appointed. The host is extremely responsive. The share kitchen is well stocked and the continental breakfast is varied and generous. We loved our stay and would highly recommend to anyone lookout for a lovely retreat. Thank you Alex. We will be back.
