Camp Abdelmoula

There was nothing luxurious about this expensive excursion ($175USD each). We enjoyed the geology and terrain of the 3 hour trip, however our driver was rude and miserable. Half the way to the camp he stopped to talk to friends then disappeared into a cafe to vape and drink while we waited swatting flies in the jeep. We had to eventually go get him and he wasn’t pleased, and to show his displeasure he kept turning up his music very load and we had to keep asking him to turn it down. Arriving at the camp they didn’t know who we were, we weren’t on their list, this did finally get resolved. Our ‘luxurious’ tent had the fan broken off the wall, which they wouldn’t fix or give us another tent; there was only one towel, there was now water to brush our teeth (we had to pay extra for it), there was no sheet for the bed, just and old itching blanket which probably contained a surplus of DNA, and the breakfast was virtually: old bread, a hard boiled egg, a piece of cheese and tasteless coffee. However the setting was very nice being settled in the dunes and the dinner was good. Finally, we gave our miserable driver at tip when we got back and he never said thank you.

My visit to the camp was a wonderful experience. The hospitality was excellent, the location was amazing, and the staff were very friendly, with their smiles adding to the warmth and comfort of the stay. The food was delicious and fresh, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, the camp offers many beautiful spots perfect for taking professional photos, making the experience not only enjoyable but also visually stunning. However, we did have some concerns about the standard tents, as they lacked sufficient covers. We were a group and felt very cold during the night, which affected our comfort and made it hard to sleep due to the severe cold and inadequate blankets. Despite that, I highly recommend the camp, and I will definitely visit again in the future, as all other aspects were truly exceptional
