Clean and quiet. Good price. Full beds, no kings. Check in to the hotel at the 24 hour diner. Ate at the diner. Good food and great service.

I give this 5 stars because for a two star hotel they did a really nice job! This is in the middle of nowhere and we were so happy it was there. The roads were in bad shape and this wonderful hotel saved us from a terrible night. And we got to have dinner which was a huge plus as the closest restaurants are 15 miles away.

1. The lady in the reception lobby in the diner, she gave us two double beds when our reservation is for a two queen beds. She found the name in the reservation, printed the form for me to sign, I saw it was for two double bed, we are 5 in the family, can’t fit in two double bed. She said they don’t have what the online reservation gives. Why she didn’t mention the beds before printing out? Glad I read it before I signed. I said we won’t check in if it’s not two queen beds. Then that’s the time she arranged for us to have a two queen bed room. What kind of service is that? Is she trying to trick us? It was reserved November 2023, if they don’t have two queen bed room, then why wait until the check in time Aug 5, 2024 before letting us know so we can make changes early? She almost check us in, giving us a two double bed room that we didn’t reserved for and not letting us know. 2. They ask for $25 deposit upon checking in. It’s been 5days since we left and the deposit is not returned. We took a photo before we left. Everything is there, no stains whatsoever and we are not smokers, we didn’t even use their hotel’s shampoo and soap. They didn’t return our deposit. 3. Very weak wifi. 4. This hotel is a Wyndham hotel but unlike other Wyndham hotel, they don’t offer free breakfast. I’m not coming back in this hotel for the next Gillette pathfinder camporee.

Ok I guess The TV didn't work and they didn't tell us about it at check in. It's not in Douglas it's in Bill. The people weren't very pleasant to be around. Food was ok

This property had no electric or plumbing upon arrival and they refused to cancel the reservation and still charged for the rooms and wouldn’t allow for any refund or reduced billing. Told ******* they would refund the money. Then refused after the call

Front desk clerk issues I made the reservation around 11 p.m. for that night. My family was traveling 20 hours home from vacation and couldn't drive further without stopping to sleep. We arrived around 1 a.m. I went to check in, and the male night clerk seemed bothered by my presence in general. I gave my name for the reservation, which they had already taken the money for when I booked. He tells me that he cannot find my reservation and that because I checked in after midnight, my reservation was canceled and that there was nothing he could do about it. That didn't make sense to me because the reservation was for the 22nd checking out on the 23rd, and check out was at 11 a.m. so, how would I not be able to check in and use the room until check out? I explained to him that we were traveling, we've been driving for hours, we were exhausted, had our child in the car and needed our room that we had paid for. I explained to him I didn't have another $100 to spend on another room. He had no compassion, no empathy, and he seemed generally bothered I was even there. He asked me for the reservation number, which I provided. He said he still couldn't find my reservation. I started crying because I was so exhausted from having been in the car for so long and I was so worried that I would just be out the money. He finally called his manager who did fix it all, and we checked in once the manager got involved. The room was fine, but would never stay again due to the clerk.

Not a bad place but know what you’re getting into. A hotel built for train employees to sleep at. It’s in the middle of nowhere so make sure you have everything you need before making your way to the hotel. Check in was through the diner which is at the front of the hotel. Staff was nice enough at check in Room was clean but small. Beds were pretty comfortable. It was very quiet. Almost creepily quiet. Going outside can seem a bit eerie at night but the property is well lit on all sides. There is a Union Pacific crew break room on site. Looked nice but I could only see through the window. WiFi and satellite tv worked surprisingly well considering remoteness. We had dinner at the diner. It was tasty; similar to Waffle House. Dinner for two with juice was $33. Some folks complained online it was pricy but I suppose I’m use to that type of pricing back home in Denver. Loved the playful sass and banter from the employees. Our cook (who doubled as the hotel front desk) asked us to not order anything difficult to make. Ha! She confirmed our orders were simple enough. If you’re passing through, I’d recommend a stop here. Just know you’re limited to food from a diner and vending machine. (Odd item in the vending machine next to the candy: canned fish?)
