Landhotel Dotlingen

We stayed overnight at the end of September this year. It is the 2nd time we have stayed in this hotel. We are very experienced, world wide travelers.  We have been involved in construction and operation of luxury destinations. We have been involved in meetings and incentive programs. First time we stayed in the family owned hotel was in September 2019. We were pleasantly surprised. We had no negative comments about our stay. We found our room and the bathroom to be one of the most perfect we have experienced: very functional, very clean, very well thought about. We recognize the involvement of the owner and his family in the run of this hotel. It Takes dedication and a lot of attention to details. It was a great experience. If we have a comment  from that time it must be that the red wine is served warm, so called "room temperature".  When we returned this September for an overnight stay we had another room than last time. But just as perfect, and well designed, kept up and very clean. The bathroom in particular caught our attention as it did the first visit. It is very seldom you will find a bathroom with such an attention to details in the design, equipment used and how it is placed.  Attention to details can be seen everywhere in this hotel. You just see it instantly. And although Covid is regarded differently now in 2022, all over the hotel is sanitizers in working condition.  The place  gives a good feeling.  And it is in a beautiful location. Again, also this time the red wine was served warm. It is not good. We are actually surprised that with all the knowledge the Owner has, that this is not rectified. A wine fridge would be a beneficial addition. The breakfast is perfect. Not more to say about that: friendly staff, excellent food, fresh, beautifully presented, big variety. This place is highly recommended. Great value for the money. We for sure will return another time when we are driving this route in Germany.
