Excellent city hotel in perfect proximity to the city center, the train station and the German Football Museum! Beautiful, comfortably furnished lobby and bar. Exceptional, wonderful, varied breakfast until 12:00 p.m.! Everything your heart desires is available here! Very friendly, helpful staff. Very nice, clean and well-equipped rooms. Absolutely a feel-good hotel. We can recommend this hotel with a clear conscience and were able to spend a wonderful weekend in Dortmund here as a family (2 adults + 1 child)! We would love to come back. Keep it up!

A very nice hotel, staff is kind of friendly and they can also be English.
The room is pretty and also funny in order!
The bed is really nice and there's enough to do in Dortmund.
You're on a busy road, but they've not heard anything about the cars and trains!
In short, a top hotel and certainly recommend.

Due to the pleasant experience of an IntercityHotel, we have chosen the IntercityHotel Dortmund for our bike tours around Dortmund, especially since this was also a price-friendly framework. The location is of course unslaughterable - only about 200m from the main railway station and about 300m from the metro ”Campstraße” directly in the pedestrian zone of Dortmund. With the free ÖPNV ticket from the hotel you can unlimitedly use all the ÖPNV transportation free of charge use and your own car can stay comfortable on the hotel parking. Even bicycles can be stored on your own bicycle parking sites. Very pre-eminent and helpful hotel staff. A good meeting hotel with the various conference rooms. The room was bright and friendly and above all generous designed. Since our room went to the back of the hotel, no noise from outside was heard even in open windows. The breakfast was ok - there was nothing that was not. Toy, cooked egg, sauce, S*****en, marmelade, yoghurt, musli, etc. That was tasty, but we had it in other hotels that were cheaper, much better. The only thing to defect was that was a little deficient housekeeping (it was not done twice the room) and the modgful room air after the air conditioning operation - especially as the window was only opened a small column and only on kipp (We were in another hotel on weekend and had a room in the 10th floor and the windows were completely opened ...) Because the IntercityHotel Dortmund is still very new (it was called opening to East 2022) I will describe this as ”children's diseases” and trust the hotel management to get it in hand. We will not be the last time in DO as fans of the Black Yellows ;-)

Dear readers, as unsatisfactory guest, I would like to share my experience in this hotel. First of all, I must say that the central location of the hotel is positive. I also liked the impressive hall of red marble in the eastern style. My room on the 5th floor was pleasantly large and offered a good view of the city. Unfortunately, this is the hotel at the crossing of two main roads. This means that the traffic around the clock is very strong and especially at night when the Poser scene tries her PS-stark cars, I was always wake up at night. Also the equipment is simple and has come into the years. The garden fell to me immediately when hearing, because the holder was defect and it was no longer fitted. The very bright room was also a big problem because I could hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was a great disappointment, as low-quality goods were used, the cheapest available on the market. All in all, this was the last time I stayed in this hotel. On the second day I went to a bakery in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't make a recommendation for this hotel and advise potential guests to look after a better option. With friendly greetings, A unsatisfactory guest

The hotel is just across the road from the pedestrianised town centre so really well located. Parking was free if you parked in the surface car park. The reception lobby was very ornate and hotel room was large. Only issue was a lack of aircon. As it was so hot the reception staff were happy to give large electric fans to anyone who asked for one to plug in their bedrooms.

We spent about 2 weeks here during a family visit. It's a fairly new hotel with a few kinks. Let me start with the positives. Staff are great, no exception. The included breakfast is great, but after 2 weeks with zero variation, it began to wear thin. The espresso maker is available to guests at no extra charge all day, which is plain fabulous. There's a serious issue with the hotel parking. They have a *very* limited number of parking bays, so you never know, when you return, whether there's space for you. There's plenty of other parking in the vicinity, but if you don't know your way around town, it's an issue. Many guests simply leave their cars in the no parking zone adjacent to the hotel. Not sure whether there's a deal with the city ticketing people, but I don't think anyone ever got a ticket in the two weeks that we spent there. You do so at your own risk, obviously, We went through various rooms because the air conditioning didn't work (and it wasn't even summer). I don't want to know what this would look like when it's actually hot. Frightening. It took their staff days to figure out what the problem is (after initially denying that there was a problem to begin with). Not great. WiFi worked great, in the room and the lobby, which has plenty of seating in case you prefer a workspace that's not in your room. There's a small, but decently equipped, gym for hotel guests. The room is what you'd expect of a Residence Inn, spacious, fridge, microwave. The cleaners did a pretty good job maintaining it on a daily basis, there's none of the corner cutting you'd find in other hotels on multi-day stays. Very grateful for that effort. This definitely works as a longer-stay property, just beware of regular soccer events in the city, the guest crowd shifts from business people to soccer fans (with no negative impact, I should add, everyone was at their best behaviours). I would return without hesitation.
Thank you for choosing our Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Castrop-Rauxel hotel.

Be aware that this is a 3-star hotel; that means: no in-room amenities like coffee, hot water, iron board. Soap/Shower Gel/Shampoo from an ”all-in-one” dispenser in the bathroom. + Lots of free parking space + The hotel lies next to a park with quiet surroundings. + My room was spacious and appeared clean. Bathroom was clean too. + The personnel was friendly. Unfortunately: - There was NO WiFi during my entire stay. Some problem that the IT at headquarters couldn't fix. This was a business trip, and having internet was crucial for my stay; I ended up using a lot of 4G data during these 3 days. IMO one can reasonably expect WiFi to be available, and I would expect to be informed if the WiFi is broken. - I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (Thu - Sun). There was NO housekeeping in my room at any given time during my stay. These 2 things are the main reasons for me not coming back to this hotel another time. Then there were a number of smaller things that may or may not bother you: - They don't have any information perm/brochure/papers in the room. If you look at your keycard holder, you will see a website address where you can find info. I found that inconvenient. - Breakfast/Restaurant is in a separate building, you have to go outside and cross the yard to get there. Not ideal at 7-8am in December rain. - Breakfast is reasonable; limited choice, but good enough. - There's only one coffee machine in the restaurant and even though it was relatively quiet, there's almost always 1-2 people waiting in line for it. - Ash trays are placed next to every entrance. There are no designated smoking zones, and some people will smoke right next to the entrance. - The rooms have carpet, which I personally find less hygienic than wooden floor/parquet/laminate (particularly in a hotel room)

Also zurück zur Rezeption. (auch schon 30 Jahre her....) Selbst die Nähe zum Musicaltheater macht es nicht erträglicher. Das Musical selbst ist auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch eine Reise wert!

Excellent
GGuest UserThe good - Very good location with only a short walk from the Hauptbahnhof - Pretty good choice of items for breakfast The not so good - Small room with no fridge, no table, no chair, no tea/coffee, no wardrobe . Rooms featured a small high stool and another larger lower stool along with a makeshift pull down ledge to use as a table. A simple rail instead of any other wardrobe feature - Tiny bathroom - Room temperature which took a long time to function - Breakfast supposedly available between 0600-1000 daily however there was a delay of around 15 minutes as things were not ready. Considering there is limited space to eat the breakfast , this is not fair to those arriving early to make use of the limited space - A member of staff being reprimanded by his senior for the delay to breakfast. This should have been done in private if at all necessary - Staff general miserable and hardly welcoming - A welcome drink on arrival which I was informed was a gin cocktail however the taste of any gin was absent In some English speaking parts of the world the word Poxy is used. This venue would be suited to that word. Not worth a return to.
GGuest UserHotel adres listed is different then the actual Hotel reception! The Hotel is situated in the very center, with plenty of parking options. They have 2 buildings, after i figured out where the reception was. I eas able to check in and get room #209 a spacious room, without AC. Two big windows towards a side street from the high street shopping area. The staff was friendly and after asking for AC they offered to put a fan in my room, which was necessary due to the very warm weather. I did enjoy the breakfast with savory and sweet option to choose from. I liked the stay very much that i booked for Hannover too in the weekend.
The hotel didn't get an excellent because we stayed in a room with twin beds and a huge pillar in it! Otherwise, the location is excellent for the downtown main square. The breakfast was adequate and, if you are a coffee drinker, you have lots of choices.
GGuest UserThe hotel room is very large, the design must be beautiful, and the breakfast is also very delicious. It's a typical American breakfast. It's very good to have a menu to order according to your taste. The house has a sofa. It's very considerate to have a waiter come to the room to open the sofa and put it on. Beautiful surroundings of the hotel
TTuffi1975Nice hotel directly located to the Iduna Park signal and to the Westfalen Halls. Relatively small rooms but completely sufficient. I had a room with a French bed. Rooms clean. nicely furnished. Good connection to public transportation. Tram right in front of the door. Breakfast ok for the price of 8,50 Euro. Free WiFi . Sky programs in TV as well. Access to the rooms with a room code. Very pleasant.
GGuest UserI have been a guest at this hotel for years and have always felt comfortable. Unfortunately, that has changed. The rooms are still OK, but some are pretty worn out. Breakfast is overpriced for the service! And the price shown when booking is not the final price, there is also 10% accommodation tax! You might as well include that! Parking costs money too, but half the parking lot is full of junk cars! That's why it looks pretty unkempt from the outside. What a shame! Reception is overwhelmed with checking in, paying on arrival but not picking up the bill until the next morning. Queuing twice!! Everything has worked better before. What a shame!!!
Aacton28A very well located and simple process to checkin. The bathroom etc was perfect and I had a wunderbar sleep. If I visit Dortmund again, I will prioritise staying at these apartments.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the centre of the city. The noise area but the weekend can pass. If you visit the city quickly is not bad for longer stays, I would like to value something else. Spacious and clean rooms even if old. Unfunctional few takes and lights. Clean but small bathroom. Modest prices and friendly staff
The staff was the nicest staff I have ever encountered at a hotel. They were always friendly and asked how our stay was going every time we walked in the door. They also were able to recommend places to get any type of meal that we needed as well. The lady helped me alot when I was down from health. A nice business hotel in the heart of Dortmund. I have enjoyed my stay for 5 days.
