This is advertised as a luxury hotel, but there’s no air conditioning, no concierge, smells musty, and looks worn in many places. The staff and service are very inconsistent. Some of the staff can be rude and are not helpful, while some were fine. When we checked in and I asked about the ac I was simply told to open the windows. We did, but a loud wedding part kept us up very late. I asked for a fan the following day and was told they were in my room. I am not sure why they didn’t mention that when I asked about the ac. I also ask them to make a dinner reservation and they didn’t get back with me. If you are looking for a luxury stay this would not be a good choice. Very sub par hotel.

Incredibly overpriced. This is not a luxury hotel. Room was very large but lacked a/c and any storage for clothing, (no dressers or wardrobe closet). There was no exhaust in bathroom and the humidity from showering left the room unbearably hot. Needed to keep windows open at night for a breeze and the noise from the guests partying on the front porch went well past midnight. Most importantly, the hotel is greatly understaffed. You will wait to be seated for breakfast for 15 minutes when there are only two other guests in the restaurant because there are no workers to seat you. And then there is the food - it is embarrassingly sub-par. Honestly, if this hotel did not have a course that lured people in, it would be out of business vert fast.

This was our second visit to Dornoch Station and it didn’t disappoint. Very good service throughout our stay and 2 excellent dinners made for a most memorable stay. Bed was very comfortable, great shower and bath and well appointed room. First class.

Beautiful exterior, with plenty of parking. Nice putting green on the lawn. Warm welcome from all staff members encountered, and well looked after during our stay. Food and drink all great, with plenty of choice on the menus. Breakfast also good quality with good service. Room spacious, and nice views out across the golf course and beach. Would return!!!

Fairly newly refurbished hotel overlooking the beach and golf course. Nice welcome from the staff, and well looked after throughout our stay. The hotel has a nice gym, which is free for guests to use. Food and drink excellent, with local beers on tap and a wide choice of Scottish gins and local drams. Room spacious, and well equipped.

Went on my own as part of a business trip. Plenty of parking in front of the hotel, even with 30 odd supercars parked outside! Nice welcome from the team on the front desk, and quickly checked in. Room overlooked the front of the hotel, and the beach. Bathroom a good size and well equipped. Plenty of space in the room to work, as well as the lobby, which has lots of little corners to hide away in. Dinner of a good quality, with good service from the bar and restaurant staff. Breakfast also good. Overall a good stay, would return.
