Great place where to stay. The breakfast was alright. The room was clean though quite a few spider webs by the ceiling window. The pole that we had in the room to open the window was not easy to use and I think was faulty, I’d advise to replace it.
Overall a good stay. The location is good too. A lovely garden which we were lucky enough (due to the good weather) able to use.

Overnight Stay
We Loved our stay at this wonderful inn....the staff were all super friendly and you could tell they Enjoyed working there...Dogs are welcome and it felt like everyone who entered brought one with them...Food was delicious even to the point that my wife claimed she had the best sweet for desert that she had ever tasted....Would definitely return..

Very good stay
Fantastic stay, good breakfast and dinner. Reduced one star because of the WiFi issues inside the room. Couldn’t work from the room using the hotel WiFi.

Cozy, friendly place. 7 of 10
The room is on top of a typical countryside pub. Standard pub room condition, definitely not worth a 8.8 rating. The hand wash sink was blocked, shower head was broken, furnitures were old and not so clean. Although service was very friendly and helpful. I would rate it 7 of 10, maybe other rooms are better.

It’s rare to visit an establishment where there are so many excellent staff.
We visited the Countryman on Boxing Day and booked a Christmas meal and a double room.
The food was wonderful, the service was excellent. The room was very comfortable.
I cannot praise everyone enough. If you visit Dorchester, this IS the place to stay.
