The hotel is near the lake, which makes its location ok if you are willing to visit it. If you would go to the downtown, then the location is terrible because it takes an hour to arrive by car. Around the hotel there’s not much. The room is nice with planty of amenities (kitchenware, washing machine, etc.) but not super clean (found hair in the bathtub). Breakfast is not up to the standards and it’s quite poor. Swimming pool is okish, nothing fancy and not very deep (just 1.2m). The guy working there staring at you all the time is not pleasant too. Would I come back? I guess not.

Perfect getaway from city life. The staff were friendly and the food options were good. There were fun activities set up for kids, in addition to that they have a trampoline park, kids pool, kids golf, kids arcade and an animal park. We had complimentary tickets to the Shenzhen resort but were not able to use them. The food options were good, and we could order from outside which was convenient because there was no convenient store in the resort. They have a Starbucks on-site I appreciated that a lot. Overall, I’d recommend this to my friends and given time we’d go again.

Good location near the shopping mall, however i was told only corner room is provided for my room type and the room is extremely small, so we have to add RMB 38 to upgrade to another room type. It’s suggested to tell in advance when booking. The facilities are relatively old especially the TV, limited function and all the contents will be charged. Overall the price is not reasonable.

The room was comfortable and big enough. The hotel staff is warm and positive, the restaurant serves late night and breakfast is also rich, parking is convenient, the mineral water placed at the elevator is very user-friendly, the room can be taken directly when you don't sleep enough, not like other hotels, looking for the front desk is not necessarily willing to give. When going to the self-service laundry room to wash, the waiter also took the initiative to help you wash it and dry it before sending it back, a proper five-star praise.

Both the scenery of Songshan Lake and the hardware and software facilities and services of Novotel exceeded my expectations. Originally, I planned to stay for three days at most, but I stayed for four nights in the end. If my family had not returned to Shenzhen from other places, I would have stayed for two more days. Before booking the hotel, I saw the high score of Novotel 4.9, and I was skeptical. Can a four-star hotel be so good? After checking in, I sighed that the high score was well deserved: 1. Thanks to Xiaoyu at the front desk for taking care of the two elderly people and arranging rooms for them, so that they spent a very happy Spring Festival.
