Everything was awsome!! Staff super friendly, funny, chatty and to our service at all times with every single question we had! Not going to mention hotel property grounds etc because, we are talkin dominican here.. Food super good, large variety Rooms and accomodation modern spatious and always clean. Tips: try sushi at the beach bar All in all there are no words or pics to do this hotel justice so overall...GO HERE you won't regret

Such a pleasant experience at this place. The check in was smooth like butter with pleasant atmosphere of the lobby & a welcome drink. Beach is well maintained ,clean & well equipped with straw beach umbrellas unlike other resorts I've stayed in the nearby location over the years. Multiple employees brought drinks, fruits to the beach during the day. Food at the buffet was great with many healthy, tasty, high quality foods & the a la carte restaurants were excellent, specially Beloved& Tuscania. Employees were by far the best I've experienced in this area from my 12years of visiting this area. A shout out to an excellent barista, Luis Alfredo at the main lobby cafe/bar, he was the best in the entire property. Every corner was so clean & well maintained, well thought out for the comfort of the guests. Location of the cafes, restaurants, bath rooms, etc were very well planned for the comfort of the guests. The only very minor issue was the showers on the beach which was limited to 2 locations unless I've overlooked. The employees were warm, yet courteous & accommodating. We didn't even have to shlep beach towels to change, they were changed by cleaning ladies from our room daily, no need to bring old ones to the specific location daily in the heat. Peaceful without noisy music blasting all day on the beach which is the reason why we chose not to go back to other resorts nearby in the area, yet had enough entertainment to keep certain people who want them occupied. it felt as if even the guests were on higher level in their public manner than others I've encountered at other resorts nearby. Already planning for next visit.

A beautiful location and first impressions were impressive. We had a deluxe room with a balcony - really spacious and immaculate. Having arrived in the early hours, we went to bed accompanied by the relentless sound of the air conditioning. On waking, we both had nasty dry coughs, which continued throughout our stay. We could hear neighbors hacking away, too! Yes, and towel on every lounger, but you fall into the rhythm of that, and it works. We took an early morning walk and swim, so we had great seats. The staff were very inconsistent. Two brilliant waiting staff in BLoved, but generally, we got overlooked even when we flashed some cash. The food was a total disappointment, drinks too. Prepare to be underwhelmed. Pastries at the reception and breakfast were the best things.

Catalonia Royal was fantastic, we have been to many all inclusive resorts, and the staff in this one are by far the most friendly, and willing to help out of any we have been to. It was honestly shocking at how impressed we was by it and was the main thing we remembered about our stay. The lobby bar staff, particularly Arjel was fantastic, good drinks, increidbly friendly and efficient. The wait staff at the resturants was great, I belive the name was Armundo was incredibly nice and accomadating throughout the stay. The A la cartes are pretty great, the steak was always great, the Wine was good and the food was always quick. The breakfast buffet was also very good with a fairly good selection. The buffet at the none adult only part of the hotel you get access to was not the best though, the food was not varied, but you have around 5 a la cartes at the adult only area, 2 days a week where one becomes a buffet, so you don't really need to go to the other hotel for food. The room was great, very comfortable beds and pillows, the AC wasn't the best but kept the room at around 21-22C but didn't take it lower and was comfortable enough. The pools are nice, but most of the time would be spent at the beach, which is fantastic, there was zero sea ****, we went to visit some friends at a hotel just a few hotels down, and went in their sea and they had Seaweed. The beach is also entirely sandy as you walk into it, you will step on purely sand and no rocks, unlike the other hotel nearby which was entirely rocks once you entered the sea. The hotel was very quiet, you would always get a seat at a pool if you wanted, as no one was there, everyone was at the beach. The only annoying part was people would wake up at incredibly early hours to reserve all the sun beds. Its sad but it becomes a game of 'can't beat them, join them' Where we found our self waking up a couple times at 7AM to walk down and try grab one before they was all gone, and still would not get great seats. I'd recomend hotel figures a way to combat people just reserving the beds. The hotel caters more to Spanish audience, as most of the guests was Spanish speaking, or Italian. Quite refreshing compared to most hotels we go to being full of British and Americans. As a British couple who doesn't speak Spanish, they was still very accomdating and we had pretty much no issues with communication.

Angel sequetel Beba Fernando is such a great and personable guy! I took some dancing lessons, like salsa and merange, and water aerobics. He was very welcoming and nice to my girlfriends and me on our girls trip! He made us feel very included and welcomed!

We just got home last night (6-12) from a ten day stay in an ETC Gold room at Catalonia Royal La Romana. It was our third visit in as many summers, and it was wonderful! We received excellent service from Amaury, Sebastian, Miguel, Carlos, and Chavely, and missed seeing Juan, who was away during our visit. We really appreciated the level of great service they all provided, and will definitely return next summer. The beach was glorious as always. We had good service on the beach as well, and enjoyed the entertainment in the evenings. We are not pool people, but if we were the pools all look very inviting and super clean. The grounds are emaculately manicured and maintained. We returned very relaxed and felt pampered by all who work there. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!!

The hotel is very clean. That is the best thing about it. Limited selection of food only one buffet really. Food is the same at every restaurant. But does taste good. No food poisoning for us. But a ton of men in our room day before checkout to fix an “unbroken” tv. They said someone complained about. Very strange. It’s working fine. Why not wait until we are gone by 10am tomorrow? Would never come back. Not worth what you pay for.
