Catalonia Royal was fantastic, we have been to many all inclusive resorts, and the staff in this one are by far the most friendly, and willing to help out of any we have been to. It was honestly shocking at how impressed we was by it and was the main thing we remembered about our stay. The lobby bar staff, particularly Arjel was fantastic, good drinks, increidbly friendly and efficient. The wait staff at the resturants was great, I belive the name was Armundo was incredibly nice and accomadating throughout the stay. The A la cartes are pretty great, the steak was always great, the Wine was good and the food was always quick. The breakfast buffet was also very good with a fairly good selection. The buffet at the none adult only part of the hotel you get access to was not the best though, the food was not varied, but you have around 5 a la cartes at the adult only area, 2 days a week where one becomes a buffet, so you don't really need to go to the other hotel for food. The room was great, very comfortable beds and pillows, the AC wasn't the best but kept the room at around 21-22C but didn't take it lower and was comfortable enough. The pools are nice, but most of the time would be spent at the beach, which is fantastic, there was zero sea ****, we went to visit some friends at a hotel just a few hotels down, and went in their sea and they had Seaweed. The beach is also entirely sandy as you walk into it, you will step on purely sand and no rocks, unlike the other hotel nearby which was entirely rocks once you entered the sea. The hotel was very quiet, you would always get a seat at a pool if you wanted, as no one was there, everyone was at the beach. The only annoying part was people would wake up at incredibly early hours to reserve all the sun beds. Its sad but it becomes a game of 'can't beat them, join them' Where we found our self waking up a couple times at 7AM to walk down and try grab one before they was all gone, and still would not get great seats. I'd recomend hotel figures a way to combat people just reserving the beds. The hotel caters more to Spanish audience, as most of the guests was Spanish speaking, or Italian. Quite refreshing compared to most hotels we go to being full of British and Americans. As a British couple who doesn't speak Spanish, they was still very accomdating and we had pretty much no issues with communication.
