Absolutely first class, a truly wonderful place to stay. Service is as close to perfect as possible and hotel is a truly incredible place to stay. A credit to the management team and staff. This and the Grove in Narberth both set the tone for Welsh luxury hospitality.

Loved the location, views and gardens. Really comfy bed and lovely room. It’s like going for a country house hotel weekend in Cotswolds but with so much to do on your doorstep. Cader Idris and the cycle trail down the estuary are on your doorstep.

Just back from a fabulous 1 night stay. This is a wonderful hotel with amazing staff and superb food. We were made so welcome by Louise and had an upgraded room which was too nice to leave. Please forgive me for not remembering everyone’s names but this a gem. Our evening meal was faultless and the dinner service by all was perfect. Breakfast was spot on and a delight. We shall be back. Go. You will be in for a treat.

Our North Wales Golf trip was based from this lovely hotel. It’s a great example of a late Victorian hunting lodge / country house. Lovely grounds and views. The welcome is the warmest, all the staff were wonderful and attentive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food was on another level. Breakfast options are great. Fine dining and general dining were 5* I felt very special for 3days, and big thank you to all at Penmaenuchaf. Will come again soon with my wife and the pups !

Booked a 2 night stay here with are little dog Oscar, the Hotel is very attractive with a lovely driveway through the woods to the hotel service was excellent especially from Cathy and Carol. They have some beautiful gardens and walks up into the woods with natural spring water running into a pond. Looking to return in the new year. The fillet steaks are so delicious we had it both nights. Looking forward to seeing the upgrades on our return. This only things I found disappointing is there is no Outdoor lights when arriving back at night and when taking the dog for a walk also no lights in the garden. Smart TVs are needs as we did not have one in the room. Would be nice to have fresh fruit salad available for breakfast this was a disappointment this option was not available.

I left a review after we returned from this hotel advising that the hotel website did not say anything about the fact they were still doing building work on the hotel and that the car park was full of builders vans and no other cars. A stone nestled on the wall had open written on it but we didn't go in as the place seemed deserted. It was not at all like the website advertised. This was to be a return visit after 40 years and a birthday present for my husband. As we live nearby and the website say to just drop in that's what we did. Anyway my review has not been published???? Curious as to why?

We first visited this hotel 40 years ago and had a wonderful stay so we were looking forward to going back to see how it had changed. The hotel website said to drop in if passing and yesterday ( 20th Sept 2024) we did just that. The car park was full of builders vans and the place was obviously undergoing major renovation. There was a stone with "open" written on it but quite frankly the place seemed deserted and we didn't fancy sitting in a lounge devoid of people so we left. Disappointed. We attempted to book a stay in the past but the hotel had become adults only and we had children by then. I guess we are just not destined to have a return visit even though we are now locals. Never mind, there are thankfully other great places to go.
