Dolgun Uchaf Historic B&B and Self Catering Cottages in Snowdonia

Nice b&b just off the main road, simple in style and a short walk in to the local town of Dolgeleu, great for the price and quiet. people seem nice in the area and are all happy to say hello. The town was lit up nicely for Christmas and really put us in the spirit, there was a real quirky street full of pubs and decorated better than what we have in Manchester, The lady from the b&b told us the best place to eat and where to maybe avoid, we found her quite scary but a little humorous almost like a strict teacher.

We arrived here at the end of our Southern Irish tour. We were not sure what to expect and we had a room inside the main house. It was old, extremely quirky but so totally full of character and we loved our stay for 3 nights. Our room was upstairs and it had a nice big bed and a large ensuite. The quirkiness of the room that was on a slope and had creaking floors was fantastic. Everywhere was extremely clean and so very comfortable we totally loved our stay here. We had no issues whatsoever and it was a place we could sit and relax and we found some great places to eat breakfast and also evening meals. Tge Ship was great for evening meals, well priced and quality but you need to book. The Ponty cafe served the best breakfast we had all trip. We had a real blast and will be back again soon.

Another great stay here we had a lovely suite close to our children & grandchildren & friends who were all camping here xx plus the weather was just fabulous, 🌞 this place is a short car ride to Barmouth which has the best beach 🏖️ & crabbing 🦀

We stayed in the family room of the guesthouse, in this former rural cottage, in an attractive setting. It has been very beautifully converted, and the room had everything we needed. Dolgellau is just down the road for meals. Close by is the exciting Torrent Path, where walkers can enjoy rough water tumbling over boulders, overhanging trees and lush ferns. Very dramatic when the river is in spate I should think. There are adjacent self catering cottages too.

Stayed in Arran Cottage for 3 nights and fully enjoyed our short stay. The cottage was clean, and Arran Cottage was a nice relaxing place to stay while we explored the local area. Next time we plan to visit this area of Wales we will definitely check the availability of this cottage.

Amazing location, away from it all. Great view of the countryside from the verandah. The property itself was really spacious and more than ample for our family. A super find, and great place to stay when holidaying in Wales!
