Had a very comfortable 2 night stay here with work in July. We arrived after a very long day at 11pm, got swiftly checked in and to our delight found the bar still open. Had a couple of beers and headed to our rooms. The rooms were clean and tidy, had everything we needed. Very much reminded me of a premier inn room. Breakfast was self service, and had a nice variety of cheeses, breads, meats, jams etc as well as some bacon and eggs. Staff were very friendly Didn’t get to try the gym sadly.

Clean and comfortable. Very kind and helpful staff. Good selection at breakfast. Bus stop 2 minutes walk away. Zutphen is a delightful and historic town. Also loved trip out to nearby Bronkhorst. Delightful area - would be happy to visit again an stay at Fletcher Hotel Zutphen

The staff were very helpful when I had an accident. I really appreciated their help. This was consistent throughout our stay. Very clean and pleasant stay in green surroundings on edge of Zutphen. 2 minutes from bus stop and short trip into town. Excellent sproting facilites on site.

I loved my stay at Fletcher. I was nervous before I arrived as I'm vegan and wondered if there would be anything for me to eat, but the chefs were wonderful and cooked me delicious food all week. The staff are all really lovely and kind and helpful and if you enjoy sport and activities the facilities are fantastic.

What an intensely sad experience. We paid inc. Tourist tax 95 euros per night for a “comfort” room WITHOUT breakfast. The comfort was hard to find. Room was dirty, holes in the towels, makeshift repairs to furniture. My towel was wet (used?). I wanted to call reception but got a voicemail 3 times. Bought a towel myself. “Coffee and tea making facilities” were a sachet of instant coffee and a kettle in a paper cup. The hotel is located on an industrial estate. View of the job. A 45-minute walk to the historic center of Zutphen. Fortunately, there were “wellness facilities”. At least a dirty cold swimming pool where the water barely reaches above your waist and 1 really tired sauna with a pungent sweat smell. It was bad, it was embarrassing and way too expensive for what was offered. Never again a Fletcher for us. Certainly not in Zutphen.

After arriving in winter on January 19 in the (cold) comfort room 229, we discovered that the heating was not working. We contacted the hotel reception who informed us that this problem was known and was being worked on. After fifteen minutes we contacted again to ask how long this problem would last. We asked for a solution but there was none. It was not known when the heating would work properly again. After further insistence on a solution, we were able to use an electric heater. We asked for another room but that was not possible. We explained to the employee (later turned out to be the manager) who brought us the heater why we were not told about the problem with the heating at check-in. He said that this was deliberately not done to avoid causing unrest at the counter/reception. "Now only a few guests complain and otherwise 50 guests are dissatisfied." We were dissatisfied with the electric heater offered to us because it smelled and made noise. The manager had also forgotten to put the legs under the heater, which made the heater unstable. At night we slept in socks and a sweater. The next day we complained again and asked for a solution. We were offered another comfort room. And as it turned out... the heating was also defective there and we again received an electric heater. Now management was very cooperative and acknowledged that some things had gone wrong and had been communicated incorrectly. We find it unacceptable that we were deliberately misled by the staff and that the solution offered, a noisy and smelly electric heater, was far from sufficient. We are extremely dissatisfied with this treatment by a Fletcher hotel. After a complaint via the Fletcher Hotels website, we fortunately received an apology and a voucher (with all kinds of restrictions for the booking) for an overnight stay + breakfast in a standard room. We had booked a comfort room. We pointed this out to the employee of the complaints department. After consultation with colleagues, he thought that we were sufficiently compensated. We received a delicious bottle of wine from one of the managers. Our advice: take your sleeping bag and winter hat with you when you go to Fletcher hotels. And what incredibly bad treatment of customers/guests!

I have been to many hotels but this hotel is so outdated and dirty beyond belief. Small cubicles as a room, dirty carpet, old sagging beds with a blanket and dirty sheets. Broken curtains hang like rags in front of a small window, a standing rickety lamp in the corner, I could go on and on. The bathroom was so dirty and old that I shivered to take a shower. (Shower curtain) A toilet in a small corner of the bathroom that you had to sit across otherwise it wouldn't work. The hotel is located on an industrial estate. The staff is very unfriendly, rude and not flexible. We looked for somewhere nearby but everything was full. They have photos on their website but they are not correct, it is an old and dirty and unfriendly hotel.

The location is located on an industrial estate, which is not a problem for us, but this is not really inviting for us for a nice walk in the evening. The car park has narrow and short parking spaces, which can make it difficult for SUVs and station wagons to exit. After checking in, we went straight to the outdated room through a rattling elevator. Upgrading is actually desirable for the entire location - you can really turn this into a gem. Now it is more of a sports center with dining and sleeping facilities. The wellness also included a swimming pool, sauna and massages, but the latter can only be booked externally. In the meantime, this has been adjusted on the site during the booking and stay, but this option is still available at the elevator. Feel free to combine your stay with Wellness Center de Bronsbergen! The breakfast buffet was not special, no alternatives such as lactose-free yoghurt or a plate that you could ask for afterwards. The multi-fruit juice looked like orange juice and the coffee was weak. At dinner the night before it had already become apparent that nothing had been done with my stated food allergy - this made the choice very limited and the quality was passionless and disappointing. The room was clean and equipped with a safe and non-silent but well-functioning air conditioning. Unfortunately, there is no mini-fridge for the bottles that are available from a drinks machine at reception. We tried out the sports bar, it is worth talking to the catering tigers because it turns out that more is possible than what is on the cards. It's a bit of a shame that the sticky spot that was on a table on Friday afternoon was still there on Sunday morning after check-out. Chills. Fortunately, there are helpful staff, except for 2... the passionless chef and the controlling restaurant manager who kept an eye on the staff like a hawk but didn't lift a finger himself. Congratulations to the catering tigers who can tolerate this, as a guest in the restaurant this was far from pleasant. This experience was sobering and definitely not what I am used to as a private and business guest.
