Fairfield Inn & Suites Elkin Jonesville

As usual it is one of our favorite stops on the way home. Everything is clean and a step above. Even in the bathroom they take an extra step. Breakfast on “real” dishes in the morning is great as is the selection of food. Hot and cold entrees. Coffee and various tea selection. Holiday decorations are always fantastic.

Grounds were nice, employees were all very helpful. We felt the amount we were charged was ridiculous but we didn’t have a choice. We stopped in later in the evening driving from Florida to Canada. We wanted to rest before going through the mountains and didn’t want to drive through the night. Unfortunately if you are a light sleeper like me, since the hotel is basically on the highway I didn’t sleep at all. Obviously that’s a me problem, but I would have liked to know before stopping here. Transport trucks using Jake breaks all night does not make for a peaceful sleep.

I would give this hotel a 4.5 if possible. The only real negative is the breakfast is not good. We went to Breakfast time one morning. Fake eggs and oatmeal full of water. Employees were great. Not sure why you hear trickling water in the elevator, that’s a first!

Our new most favourite hotel on our road trip to Florida! Thank you so much for decorating so beautifully for Christmas and the holidays. It was so festive and it was such a warm welcome when we arrived. What a pleasant surprise to find the hotel all decorated for the holidays -everywhere, even on every floor there was a tree at both ends of the hallway! You did a wonderful job and I hope you get rewarded for making everything so special for your guests. We truly thank you from the bottom of our hearts. On top of all of this the hotel is beautifully appointed and the rooms were as clean as anything. Everything was in good working order and the shower was great! Comfortable bed and the room was very quiet at night. Good hot breakfast in the morning with lots of choices. If you like pastries there was a huge selection. Can't wait to stay again. Thank you.

We picked this hotel just because of the time and needed a place to stay. When we walked into the lobby I went ‘WoW’! It was fully decorated for Fall to the max. ( supposedly Christmas is even more elaborate) It was welcoming and delightful. Someone cares!! Aside from that the room was nice, clean and beds and pillows we’re comfortable. And the breakfast was well done. A really great 1-night stay!

The cleaning staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and the service and staff were extremely friendly and available when we needed them any time of night/day. Our room fit all of our needs.

Loved this place for a good and quite stop on our way to vacation. This place has everything you can ask for, for a overnight stop it’s got a pool free morning breakfast from 6-10am but covid really affected the breakfast. Its no longer a buffet witch is understandable but they did get rid of some keen breakfast components like instead of making your own waffles you have to ask for waffles and they will give you waffles that have probably been sitting for a while. other than that this place is pretty good.

Stayed on the 4th floor on an overnight stay associated with a cross country bus tour. Found hotel’s overall condition well maintained and felt good about our stay. Room well appointed and clean. Good parking around hotel and plenty of good walking areas as well. Hotel located near interstate 77 and could hear some highway noise but nothing obnoxious. Elevator a little sluggish & created some extended wait times going up & down floors. Pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. Excellent food variety at the complimentary breakfast bar & adequate help on hand to keep the eating area tidy during the morning rush. All staff at hotel were very pleasant and helpful during all interactions. There is a convenience store located adjacent to hotel for fuel & snacks. I highly recommend this facility for your choice as a lodging accommodation if in the area.

This year we attended Merlefest for the 3rd time, and man, are we glad we stayed here!! A bit more expensive than the cheapo motels we've stayed at the past two years, but we plan on coming her again should we travel to Merlefest next year. First of all, staff are warm and very friendly/helpful. I'd like to single out Shulie (sp??) at the front desk - I went to her a few times for advice on the area. She did her best to help out with fun ideas. Housekeeping also friendly, along with maintenance guys, who taught us technodummies how to work the air conditioner. The room, beds, bathroom, shower - all were very nice, and good value for the money (despite higher prices during Merlefest, which is annoying, but hard to avoid) My brother reported that the workout room was pretty good (tho they need to add lighting above the machines, which are hard to see currently) And the breakfast is definitely a step up from the usual fare, again with great, freindly service from the staff. Highly recommended!
