Hotel Meninx Djerba

We stayed for two nights at this hotel while on tour. The room is spacious, but dated and well used. The toilet seat was broken and barely stayed in place, towels old and well used. Must get beach/pool chair early with your own towel. AC in room was good, free wifi. No in-room safe. Many tours/ activities can be booked from hotel, and gift shop, bank machine on site. We did half board. Buffet was large and varied, but lots of people!

BEWARE Hotel Meninx Djerba, Tunisa,was closed last week 14-21 Jan. We were booked for it through Loveholidays and were not informed of it by either Loveholidays or the hotel. Friends and I were shocked and panicked when we arrived late evening. We didn't know where to go or who to contact. Loveholidays had an emergency phone number but it was useless as I only bought a data sim and couldn't make calls. Thanks to our wonderful driver from the local taxi firm KBCar, who found out we were transferred to another hotel nearby. He then took us there free of charge. So if you are booked for it is the next few weeks double check before you leave for your trip that it has reopened. Didn't want to give any stars but had to give one in order to post this review.

One very beautiful and unforgettable vacation! The hotel is located at the beach, and it has huge amazing pool! There are so many activities every day organized by animation team! The team is really amazing, they are all really friendly and they’re giving their best to make your holiday special! So many activities in the pool, volleyball on the beach, darts, Minigolf and many other activities are going to fill your day with fun and laughter! And for all those who love to dance like I do, don’t worry, there are so many parties whole night long 🤩 I had such a great time! They are really hardworking and so talented, performing very well, and are going to give their best, so you could enjoy every minute of it! Many greetings to Zizu, Nidal, Larrise, Sima and Alvares- you made our week unforgettable!!🤍

Don‘t expect anything more than 3 stars. The 3 stars clearly show in every aspect of the hotel. Food/ room/ entertainment. Food is a variety of random food that seems to be made of left overs from day before or lunch. No real theme or line is visible. You won’t starve to death but you aren’t excited for the meals. Which is however okay considering 3 stars. The coffee is delicious. room. Out of 7 days there was 3 days no electricity, the hotel wants you to wait in the room for the handyman. we wasted many hours sitting in a warm room waiting. Unfortunately the balcony door wasn’t secure and more time had to be wasted, waiting to get this repaired. The cleaning staff does their best to supply fresh towels daily and cleans regularly. However the condition of the shower is questionable & partly broken. Pool is clean but not in best condition. Prices for a save differ. We paid 1€ per day when another person paid 2Dinar per day. Working staff expect a lot of tips for their service. Specially at the bar and restaurant. If you want more than a 0.1l plastic cup, you gotta tip generously and frequently. Still no real dealbreaker but nothing that makes you excited. 3 stars. What was most annoying was the entertainment. There was simply no real Animation team. They walk around here and there and try to sell you Tombola tickets for 5€, or sell you shirts or drinks. The frequent program like darts or other games are just done with no real joy or even good equip, and the animation team doesn’t seem to enjoy the games at all. The evening shows are terrible. Very boring, no variety. Comedy and dance. You don’t miss out by going to bed early. Within the hotel there are tons of extra expenses waiting for you: Spa (Ali) and a tour guide (Fathi) Beware of these guys they are the ones for the „scams“ who will try to sell you absolute overpriced trips and spa offers. Same with souvenirs at the beach or the lobby shop or the nearby supermarket. They will do anything to make you believe you got a good offer while they rub their hands. Best is to buy souvenirs from the airport shop where it’s absolutely ridiculously cheap compared to the boutique. Make sure to bring enough sun Sunscreen, since they sell it for 25€ per small bottle. Overall you won’t die but it’s nothing special

Our experience was 5 stars. In terms of entertainment, food, location. Fantastic beach👍. I recommend it especially for large families, the atmosphere is fantastic .For the year to We're back for the environment 😍. Food is great 👍Hotel to recommend👏
