Overall happy with our stay. Nice dining area in restaurant and decent size rooms. Food a bit on the pricey end but given the location, was well presented and quite accomodating. Room was good and clean, however only minor feedback is would have been appreciated if all windows were not left open as it took ages for the room to cool given the hot humid weather.

Fabulous cabin right in the forest we enjoyed the peace and quiet with no wifi or phone reception it’s a true detox with time to just relax. The nearby waterholes are bliss in the heat and the restaurant served excellent meals would stay again next time I go to the Daintree

We stayed two nights in the family cabin here. We made the mistake of arriving after dark so it was a bit tricky finding the cabin, not to mention the dark windy road to get out to the hotel after crossing on the ferry. It would have been a little more peaceful to arrive before sunset. We thought it was fun they handed us a torch and an umbrella upon checking in. The cabin was large with high ceilings and was very clean without any flying or crawling bugs. There was AC which worked very well and a ceiling fan. We could hear the rain all night which was great. There were flowers and trees and a great atmosphere. Plenty of hot water in the shower, plus tea making things, a table, a small porch you could sit outside and drink your tea. Lovely experience! We were 3 and had plenty of space. We went on the trails outside to the streams although did not swim there. There was a small pool which we did not try. The breakfast that was included was very good and was bread, fruit and yogurt. They also offered scrambled eggs and bacon and other things for additional cost which was very convenient. The coffee in the restaurant was good. There was wifi in the restaurant area but not in the cabin so you could loiter at the restaurant tables if you needed to use wifi. They also had lots of books on the local area and all the tourist brochures for planning your activities. It was very convenient to travel to Cape Tribulation and to the boardwalks in the area from this hotel. Overall it was a delightful experience and I would definitely recommend it. It was really great to go on the boardwalks and explore the area and not have to leave at night. We really enjoyed the restaurant at this hotel also. So nice to be in the rainforest!

This was our second visit to this wonderful lodge. We all went swimming in the waterhole, what great fun. It was raining and the water cold, but so refreshing. The rainforest is stunning, I loved the dining room in the rainforest with the rain on the roof, so relaxing and peaceful. Huge range of DVD’s, really comfortable cabins and a lovely soft bed.. The dinner was just delicious, perfectly cooked and the service prompt and the staff very friendly. The breakfast is included in the accommodation price and provided a range of options. The home made bread was a big hit with all of us. The owner Vicki is a lovely, friendly lady who made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Brilliant place! Tucked away in the Daintree rainforest with crystal clear Cooper Creek running behind it. Lovely cabins with comfy beds and good pillows. Happy hour with very reasonable drink prices and excellent menu with top quality meals!! Good staff and the owner Vicky is delightful. Thank you so much! We’ll be back!! 10/10

This place has so much to offer but delivers so little which is unfortunate when we could see how hard the staff were working to try and make things right for their guests. The location is excellent the lodge itself is nice although in need of some love. We especially liked the swimming hole out front of the restaurant, We are in our sixties and jumped in like we were teenagers and loved it as did the mother and her 3 young boys who were in there at the same time. We had dinner in the restaurant Unfortunately my partner's entrée which she was having as a main came out stone cold and and the octopus was so tough it was not edible, we tried to get the attention of staff to get this sorted but for some reason we were invisible so after about 15 minutes she took the dish herself toward the kitchen where one of the staff took the dish off her and reported back to us another 6 or 7 minutes later asking what we would like to do, well by know my steake meal is also stone cold and the roast potatoes that were placed under the medium rear steak have ****** all the juice out of the steak and a mush so we had both lost our appetites. At the checkout, the manager asked us what our problem was and told us the chef said there was nothing wrong with our food and she added no one else was complaining. We paid the $100.50 for our dinner and went back to our room. She commented again at checkout in the morning that it was unfortunate we didn't like our meals but no one else had a problem with theirs. That is why I gave one star and would never recommend this resort. There are other great resorts up there that would be worth trying

The pictures are not what it is at all. Once in the past yes... I am sure It is for sale atm. Needs some love and care. No doubt a once treasured lodge in a great spot. Now run down and very tired from the short walking tracks to the swimming hole, to the cabins, to eating area. Alot of work needed to bring it back to what it once was.We had issues with our dinner meal too. This not so great accomodation aside we still enjoyed exploring this remote beautiful specially historic place of true natural beauty. Worth doing the trip to Cape Trib and the walks and all the areas to explore.
