Searocks Villas Exclusive Resort

Wow! Wow! and Wow! This place is amazing. Perched high on the hill overlooking Messinia Bay in Kitries, about 15 kms from Kalamata city, we loved every moment of our 3 night stay. The individual villas are built in the traditional stone Mani way and they are spacious, beautifully appointed with our own private pool. The staff are very professional, plenty of parking and the surrounding views are stunning! There is a very winding road leading up to the Resort but well worth it when you get therel We really enjoyed our stay. The photos shown are accurate.

Exceeded expectations. All brand new. The hosts were very attentive and helped with everything from car rental to dinner reservations and itinerary suggestions. The villa was spacious and very private. The private pool for our villa was perfect after a long day. Our family of five was very comfortable and would definitely stay here again.

What an amazing family holiday. We stayed in the mansion with a private pool overlooking the sea and the views/pool were nothing short of epic. The sunsets every evening were unlike any other and such a treat! The villa itself was very clean, spacious and housekeeping were very good. Only fault was the kitchen was not very well equipped to cook for a family and there was no dishwasher. However no request was ever too much for the staff and they even went out and bought a tin opener for us. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and even being vegetarian, the team did their best to serve us alternatives at no extra cost. My son has food allergies and there were freshly made pancakes for him every day which he was so happy about. The restaurant was also good for dinner and were able to cater for my son albeit the options were limited. I'm happy he could participate in eating out. Great resort, great location but you do need a car to get around! Thank you for an amazing stay Searocks :o)

This place was amazing!!! Lemons trees on the back patio and fig trees at the front. Own pool overlooking the sea very quiet,clean and very roomy! The restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was just as good anything you wanted. So relaxing I didn’t want to leave. Not far to the nearest village by car. Staff couldn’t do enough for you either x

Searocks Resort is an amazing place where you will really get the chance to relax. Villas are nice and with an amazing view. Staff is very friendly and professional, from the communication leading up to the stay and the whole way through while we were there. Food is nice, both the breakfast buffet and the dinner restaurant. Only room for improvement we noticed would be to equip the kitchen in the villa a little more. We really enjoyed our stay.

We will never return as long as the current manager George is there. Our feeling about Searocks are very mixed. Most of the employees were wonderful, especially Francesco, George, Maria and Christos from the restaurant, and Georgia from the front desk. We decided to end our Greek vacation by returning to Searocks. We had spent some time there last year and loved it, especially under the management of Christos who is no longer there. This year we reserved a different room, a junior villa with a guest house (we are a family of 5 and wanted accommodations without a basement room). We arrived to our villa and were very disappointed. The villa had an infestation of spiders. We understand that a few spiders are normal but we killed over 20 spiders within the first half hour and contributed to kill more throughout the day. Spiders were crawling everywhere including on the couch and between the sheets in the guest bedroom. I informed the front desk who came to see it and was also a bit shocked but what was going on. Underneath the beds and the kitchen cabinets there were spiders and spiderwebs. I asked to speak to the new manager, George, about changing rooms. This villa was uninhabitable. I was told that they were booked and the only thing they could do was clean the room again. We left the villa and returned a few hours later after having dinner at the restaurant that the resort covered. We were told the villa was cleaned and sprayed with pesticide to kill everything. When we looked again, there were still spider webs and spiders under the bed. I asked again to speak to the manager, George. At this point we had wasted a day of travel and it was almost 11:00 pm. He came to our villa and when I asked if there was something else available, he said he doesn’t know. I did tell him that we could not stay here for a week with the infestation and if there was nothing else available, we would need to go elsewhere and would like a refund. He had also had since 3:00 pm to see other villa availability. At this point he began to yell at me and told me he was familiar people “like me”. For reference, I am a Greek American. After yelling at me for 10 minutes he left and told me he would let me know the next day about a refund but most likely no. That evening, the air conditioner also did not work properly. The next day, the front desk girl did show us a villa next door and that was clean and we decided to move there. It did take an entire day to get it ready. The villa was clean and the same type. Please not that the bathroom in the guest house barely fits an adult and you cannot turn around in it. Last year we had a wonderful time and a great villa. This year’s experience was by far the worse I have ever been treated. Throughout the fiasco, an employee repeatedly told me that she was impressed with how I handled it and she would have definitely stayed somewhere else.
