The hotel is a five star experience. We speak no French but the concierge Thierry contached us via email. He helped schedule massages at the hotel spa, offered maps and directions to amazing nearby sights and helped us schedule reservations at close by spectacular restaurants. The room was sparkling clean, breakfast was delicious, the bed was lovely. I hope we are able to return.

I am a travel agent. I originally made a reservation and changed it within the acceptable period. I paid for the first reservation and was told to pay again for the second and I would be refunded. 3 weeks have gone by. No one at the hotel responds. When I stayed there no one had an answer. When I called no one had an answer and when I emailed no one answered. $4600. No refund. Fortunately Amex will take care of this. But there is no service at this hotel. And no one knows anything. I will never send a client here. It is like the blind leading the blind. Stay away!!

Great location, first-class facility, and excellent service. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. I stayed there many years ago, and the hotel has since undergone a major renovation. It's truly a first-class place. I will definitely be back.

This recently-refurbished hotel retains it's old-world charm and is all the better for it. Staff are super helpful, rooms very well done, and the restaurant offers excellent food at a reasonable price. Worth noting that parking is offsite.

We stayed just 4 nights but it was a most relaxing holiday and now feel totally restored. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, but what made it for us was the friendliness of all the staff who couldn't have been more welcoming (we turned up in our rusty old banger and they didn't bat an eyelid), and the location. It is in the most stunning spot with incredible views over the bay towards St Malo. We were happy just watching the world from the balcony (room 419 - would book this room again). Recommended - the pool (and sauna) followed by relaxing in the garden with a drink; lunch in the bar which is more informal than the restaurant; wandering around Dinard before coming back for a cocktail.

Stayed for 3 nights in September can not rate this hotel highly enough. Made extra special by the warm and friendly front of house team but this also carried through to restaurant, bar staff and chambermaids, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely views over the sea, nice spa and gardens to relax in and good location.

Hotel Barrier Le Grand is an exceptional property, located right in Dinard and overlooking the coastline. Accommodations are fantastic as rooms are spacious, well appointed and extremely quiet. Both restaurants have incredible menus and excellent service. The architecture and interior design are very impressive. This is a great 5-star property for anyone visiting Brittany.

The staff at this hotel are second to none. Each and every single one couldn’t do enough for us and were so helpful and polite. The hotel is pure French class; fantastically well maintained and spotless. The facilities are great and the massages heavenly! The surroundings on the water are gorgeous and close by towns of enormous historical interest and charm. Having a car is handy.
