Burton Court

This is a little treasure. With only three rooms, it’s a quiet B&B that hides the facilities and ethos of a five star hotel. Our room was enormous, with a stunning bathroom and could not have been more comfortable. The tour of the building was fascinating.

Fantastic house in an amazing setting. Great central location for many places of interest. We spent the day in Hay on Wye, after an excellent, but tiring day this was the perfect place to retire to. Very warm welcome, beautiful room and bathroom. The whole setting was peaceful and relaxing. The owners could not do enough for us, excellent service. It was all topped off by a fabulous breakfast with many locally sourced ingredients, delicious! Would definitely recommend, and we will be staying there again!

A warm and friendly welcome was a good start and it kept getting better. Our room with its enormous four-poster bed was the last word in opulence. I’m much travelled and not easily impressed but Burton Court won me over right away. A beautiful old house set in magnificent grounds, it has an amazing history. Breakfast in the palatial dining room consists of fresh produce all locally sourced. Would I go back? Yes, like a shot.

My wife and I travelled 18 days in Wales and one of the best places we stayed was at Burton Court. We were delighted with the large rooms, beautiful grounds, and quietness of this retreat. Edward and Helen were spectacular hosts. The breakfasts are feasts; the gentleness of the surroundings is so calming. The bedroom we stayed in was mammoth. This is a perfect wedding place as well as one of the best B&Bs you'll ever stay at in your life. Before coming to Burton Court, we were at Powis Castle and Burton Court seemed as if you were living in Powis Castle with all of the staff that goes with it. When we come back, we'll stay for more than two (2) days. This place is 1st class all the way.

A beautiful country house, interesting architecture and with a fascinating and sometimes tragic history. Edward was extremely welcoming, showed us around the house and to our lovely spacious bedroom (with four poster, that was extremely comfortable) and huge bathroom. Everything you could need for a wonderful comfortable stay. Spotlessly clean accommodation and excellent breakfast, most ingredients being locally sourced. Finally a place that provides 'proper' loose leaf tea, my favourite being Earl Grey, for breakfast in a china teapot! Also for my husband proper ground coffee. A wonderful peaceful setting, with lots of space and grounds to walk around with no disturbances. The nearby 'black and white' villages are very pretty and interesting and there are many really good restaurants and pubs to visit. If you are in to antiques and quirky collectables then nearby Leominster is the place for you. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, not least due to the hospitality and friendliness of our hosts Edward and Helen. Thank you, we would love to return in the not too distant future.

This is so much more than a BnB. Edward goes out of the way to welcome you almost as a friend nto his family home but is never intrusive. Burton Court has the feel of a small Downton with the servants just having popped out, but with none of the pretension. We had a lovely stay Thank you Edward and Helen.
