Friendly staff and quiet night. The room was basic but clean and the bed was a nice comfortable king size. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room though.

We stayed at this Ibis for just one night as a stopover on our way back to Calais from Brittany. For 1 night it fits the bill, it is pretty basic, the rooms are tiny but clean. Parking is OK, the Restaurant was closed on the Saturday night when we stayed, but the Bar was open. You can walk into the Town in about 20 Mts, but be warned it is up a very long hill coming back to the Hotel.

A reviewer noted in November 2023 that the hotel needed updating, and it seems nothing has changed. The hotel is shabby, it smells of cooking fat, my room stank of sweat (is this due to memory foam mattresses)?, the shower head was broken, and the shower gel dispenser had clearly been empty for some time. On check-in, the receptionist was more interested in doing things her way, than listening, so check-in was laborious. Good things about the hotel: parking, plentiful hot water, and a reasonable breakfast, though the layout of this needs a rethink. It could be a great little hotel, but it isn’t.

Not a good experience. The hotel is shabby in public areas, there is a general smell of cooking fat, and my room stank of sweat (is this due to memory foam mattresses)? The shower head was broken, and the soap dispenser in the shower dispensed…water. Whilst this is effectively a budget hotel, there is no excuse for failing at basics. Good things: free parking, plentiful hot water and a reasonable, if not great, breakfast.

We arrived around 23:00hr, too late to eat in the restaurant, but the receptionist gave us a beer from the bar, some complementary crisps, and was happy for us to picnic on the pork pies we'd bought in Newhaven. The room seemed small but only because the bed is big, very clean and very comfortable. We slept well and after a fantastic breakfast (thanks Willy) we were on our way. We enjoyed our stopover and will certainly stay here again.

Within easy reach of the ferry port reception staff member was helpful and the room was just what we needed after travelling all day

This hotel met the expected IBIS standards and was a good choice for us.
Its lcation in the town was not central and information about local bus services would have ben helpful.

The property is old and dated. The rooms are like a prison cell.Staff on desk good food outlets within easy reach.Knock it down and rebuild.

Basic but comfortable hotel.
A fairly basic hotel. Rooms rather gloomy owing to small single windows.
Good sized comfortable bed and adequate washroom. Restaurant offers reasonable food at a fair price, but breakfast is a bit patchy - bread and pastries not the freshest, scrambled eggs only edible if you get there at dawn! Fair selction of cereals, fruit, cooked meat and cheese. Coffee drinkable but not strong enough. Reception and cleaning staff pleasant and efficient
Private car park with CCTV a great asset and proximity to Auchan hypermarket could not be more convenient.
