Garden of Sun Hotel

This hotel is not a 5* more like a 1 at best ,it was filthy we booked a superior room, there was hair in the bed the bathroom had scum and mold on the tiles and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks the towels were dirty and our room overlooked the bins out the back of the hotel and the smell was horrendous, we got there at 7 in the morning and had to battle to get a change of room , the man on reception was rolling his eyes to other members of staff when I shown him the photos I had just took of the room, was told to go back at 1 as there would be people checking out at 12, we went back at 1.15 to be told the rooms had all been taken up, I eventually got hold of our rep who told us to go back at 4, eventually at 5 pm we got moved rooms ,the food experience was equally as bad , same food every day if you want to eat on the outside of the restaurant, dont you will be plagued by flies, the food was not covered so flies were having a field day, the toilets of the hotel were not clean, the outside sun beds had padded covers which were grey with dirt and stains all over them, overall it has been the worst hotel iv ever been 2!

TERRIBLE PLACE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL 0 Star, FULL Of S**** , WORST NIGHTMARE OF OUR LIFE, TERRIBLE SERVICE, complete SCAM Worst holiday ever, never come to this hotel it's at maximum 2 stars their deceivingly advertising IT AS A 5 star, it's disgusting there's MOULD in the BATHROOMS, rooms are small, aircons are super OLD EVERYONE GOT THE COLDS DUE TO THAT, the variety of food is less plus you get diarrhoea be be cautious, dirty rooms UNHOOVERED, uncleaned, staff can't HELP WITH anything at all always a big NO, never had this type of service in my life whilst we've come 4 times before to Turkey, house keeping doesn't change bedcovers and towels you have to forcefully get it from themselves coz they don't want to give it and put it ON yourselves, they refused to give hotel key cards even though we were a family of 4 we spoke others they done the exact same thing to them as well, the kettle was super nasty with MOULD INSIDE IT, SHOWERS AND SINKS had all sorts of coloured marks and stains all over it, fridge HAD MOULD, SOFBED WAS BROKEN, we are STAYING RIGHT NOW AT THE MOMENT 12-20SEP RIGHT NOW AND HATING EVERY MOMENT OF IT, LIFTS BROKE DOWN, BINS AREN'T CHANGED, TV IS 10INCH LOOOL FROM BACK IM THE 1980s, infant sized toilet never seen before, decor has not been touched in the past 40 years, wallpaper ripped ect, we're having a nasty disgusting holiday fully disappointing that love holidays can accept them to advertise this as 5 star, spent quite a bit of my savings, all to waste with this hotel

Everything was nice apart of cleaning of the room which was not amazing, that’s the reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 . Food is amazing and a lot of choices, atmosphere very good . Staff friendly and respectful . The pool is very clean. Nice family place for holidays

I absolutely do not recommend it We had two rooms Both dirty, only cleaned once during the week, bed linen not changed at all. The food was simply not good and the same every day. The dining room was dirty, there was no cutlery and flies flying everywhere. It is definitely not a five-star hotel. It was not our first time in Turkey so we have a comparison of hotel standards in this country. This hotel is a mistake I do not recommend it

This is part 2 of my review for Majestic Colonial Punta Cana experience in January 2025 Entertainment staff: One of the reasons for us to return to this hotel for a 3rd time was the fantastic entertainment staff we met there in year 2014 , the so called "Funjestic team". If any of you have been there in year 2014. you`ll know what am I talking about. They were out of this world, very frienly, smiling, hardworking and their slogan was "Ï LOVE MY JOB!" We still remember the names of many of them. They were working day and night- many fun games, jokes, chatting on the beach with guests, always with friendly and warm attitude. We travel all around the world and we have been in many resorts, but none of them could beat the animation of Majestic Colonial from year 2014. The animation NOW was zero to none. Boring games or lacking of games at all. It was obvious that they do their job as obligation, with unwilligness and with remiss behaviour.... We barely see any of them during the day. And at night, they were performing few american dances. The merengue, bachata and salsa dances were an exception at the live music bar. One can not feel the local music and atmosphere in this way. Guest service: We filed a written complaint regarding the attitude of the stuff at the Rodeo Grill. We were told that it will be passed to the managing staff. We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and the compain was written on day 3. No one contacted us, no one took any measures to see what happened. Total disregard. Celebration: I celebrated my 50th anniversary at Majestic Colonial. We informed the front desk, the Guest Service and the our buttler (Mr. B). Guess what: I had to pay 35 dollars for a small bithday cake (same cake that you may find for free in each of the restaurants). No band on our room`s door, no decoration in our room at all (for God`s sake, 5 baloons would cost s couple of dollars). No petals on the bed or any towel figures (which we`ve got in our room in year 2014 every day at the Family side! not to mention that we also often had surprises in our room - like cheese and fruits plates, a bottle of wine etc ) I was really dissapointed. On the next day my brother met our buttler and told him that is a shame for not providing anything special for my birthday, even a band on the door... Then, our buttler put a band, i. e. close the stable door after the horse has bolted.... In the advertisement we were promised a Majestic touch for the Club side guests...what a dissapointment. Another thing: as Colonial Clib guests we are supposed to have some gifts in our room: hats, beach bags (some of the guests mentioned also T-shirts, flip flops). No gifts for us. On the 4th day I asked our buttler and ONLY THEN he brought us hats and beach bags. Meanwhile one of my friends had to buy a beacj bag from the hotel stores for about 35 dollars.... Bar tenders: Many of them inattentive! The only bartenders that are doing their job perfectly were those on the Pool bar at th!e Club
