This was my first experience to witness discrimination as a Kenyan by fellow black Kenyans. The interns were MUCH better and did all within their way to make our experience hospitable. From reception day 1,An old man struggling to keep pace with demands to the restaurant service that was sub-optimal.

The service here is what gives it five stars! We loved our stay and everyone was super accommodating, and all the other guests were very nice as well. The hotel was very helpful and arranging fun activities for us to do both on and off the resort

We had a wonderful stay over Christmas, the location and beach were terrific with security visible at all times. The restaurant/food was excellent and there were so many different cocktails to choose from. The hotel was spotless and the staff were amazing/ my husband hurt his back whilst there and ended up in the local hospital, whilst he was there the staff helped me move to a downstairs room making it easier when he was discharged and they were all concerned for his welfare. We would certainly choose to have another holiday at this hotel -big thumbs up , thank you.

Impressed by the high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel. All areas, including the public areas, were always neat and tidy. This conveys a feeling of safety and well-being. My stay was a complete success. The combination of excellent service, comfortable rooms and an unbeatable location makes this hotel an outstanding choice. I can highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit. I would particularly like to highlight the exceptional dedication and friendliness of the service staff Amani and Abdul and Jakob from the animation team. They made my stay an unforgettable experience.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The reception was great and staff very friendly (all of them actually). The food was delicious and plenty. Its a very child friendly hotel. I like the idea that when you go out for an activity, you do not need to rush back to the hotel for lunch as the ala carte restaurant is literally open throughout the day. You can also opt to have lunch there in case you want something different from the usual buffet. We also had a chance to do a glass open boat ride and it was awesome. We enjoyed ourselves to the maximum and will definitely be back with larger family and friends. Thank you all for making our stay memorable. Regards, Shelmith Wairimu.

Honestly, I didn’t have a great experience with this resort. First off, the receptionist looked so bored when we arrived. Our room was okay until we found out they don’t give guests house slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower caps, the list is endless. So we had to leave the resort immediately we arrived to buy the things missing. And did I mention that one of the lamps in the room wasn’t working and even afree bringing it up with the reception they didn’t fix it for the 5 days we stayed there? Also, the choices of food was very limited for all meals — there were no greens on most days and desert was nonexistent. I mean I could go on and on about the horrible experience we had but I’ll stop there. Would never recommend this place even to my worst enemy

Our 3-night stay at Diani Sea Resort as two families was disappointing despite a few positives. The rooms were clean and spacious, the swimming pool was well-maintained, and the WiFi worked efficiently. However, the service was subpar and discriminatory. From the start, the reception was cold and unwelcoming, with minimal assistance from staff. Basic essentials like hand soap were missing and only provided after complaints. Shower gels and shampoos were unlabelled, creating confusion. The food service was frustrating. Items like bacon and salads weren’t replenished toward the end of meal times, and breakfast was often served cold. Staff at live cooking stations and the dining area were slow and lacked warmth. At the pool bar, drinks and items like ice cubes were often unavailable but were later served to white guests. The most disheartening aspect was the clear preferential treatment of white guests. Staff treated African guests coldly, while being cheerful and accommodating to others. For instance, fruits denied to us were later given to white guests without hesitation. While the facilities met expectations, the discriminatory service marred the experience. I would not recommend this resort to Kenyan or African travelers. It fell far short of a 4-star standard.

We had a really beautiful stay at Diani Sea Resort. The food was good (although not great, buffet with some live cooking like pasta), the rooms were nice (Aircon included) and the resort is located right at the beach. For us it was just a little too crowded and you can see it beeing a few years old (although everything was very clean). Our highlight were Jacob, Mili and the rest of the Animation team, who made sure we had a great time. They offer activities like Boccia, Darts, Stretching and Aqua-Aerobics, as well as some quizzes and Suaheli-lessons.
