Boutique Beach All Inclusive Diving Hotel

Although there is a huge amount of accommodation available in the Maldives, we again chose the Boutique Beach Hotel. Owner Romney and her perfect team make sure your diving experience is unforgettable! The team is well-coordinated, everyone is an expert in their field, but no one is out of place to take on other work if necessary! Thanks to manager Afzal for his patience and organization of our stay on Dhigurah, Mette, Dylan, Seb, Sohag and Lucinda for the wonderful experience in the water, both chefs for the excellent food, the ever smiling Saeed for the service, James and Kawsar for their favors, Cam for the informative topics about marine life and the two captains for safe navigation and help on the boat! If you really want to enjoy the underwater world, you must visit BB and their team, you won't regret it!

We were delayed for a day arriving due to our Airline. From the word go, all the staff tried to make up for that day, even though it was nothing to do with them. The food is excellent and the staff extremely friendly and attentive. Mete, Dylan and Cam took excellent care of us under the water too. The hotel is right on to a lovely beach. They even gave us a candle light dinner on the beach for our last night. 10 out of 10 for service.

When I say this place is amazing I mean it on every level. I’ve been to several dive resorts and this was the best run outfit I’ve experienced. The dive staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and safety conscious. They know the area, the dive sites, the currents, and the divers! They did an excellent job looking out for creatures in the ocean and creatures on the boat (i.e. us). This place is the opposite of a cattle car dive operation. The largest group we dove with had four people and one dive master. The boat was not crowded and the dive leads did a great job finding lots of amazing and little things. They pointed out nudibranchs and they (and the staff on the boat) did a great job looking out for opportunities to snorkel with whale sharks and mantas in between dives, as if the great dives weren’t enough. I especially want to recommend Mette, though all the dive staff were stellar. I was having some trouble and when I asked for her advice I got an analysis of my technique, why it was causing me trouble, and she noticed that my BCD did not fit me well and was messing up my profile in the water. She clearly had been paying attention the day before, and she provided me with advice on how to improve my frog kick and general skills in current, and I also learned a few new things that helped with equalizing my ears. I have over 200 dives, so these weren’t total newbie tips either! If you get to dive with Mette, take advantage of her amazing ability to assess your diving (and your gear) and provide you with some rock star dive tips. But it’s not just the dive staff that make this place so good. It’s all the staff. From the Chef who made sure I always had a gluten free alternative at meals, to the incredible folks who picked me up at the airport, hauled my gear around, left our room spotless every day, and a million other little things. Boutique Beach has an “all one team” approach, meaning everyone plays an important part in making the experience wonderful for their guests. For this reason when you tip, the tip gets divided up between all the staff, not just the ones you interact with. I think this is one reason everything runs so smoothly on all fronts. If you want an amazing dive experience, thoughtful staff, a beautiful location, and a peaceful place to stay when you are done seeing what’s under the ocean, I highly recommend Boutique Beach!

There are beautiful vacations, very beautiful and perfect ... the vacation at the Boutique Beach Hotel on Dhigurah was even better than perfect. Hostesses Romney, Mette and Afzah and the entire team in the kitchen, in service and the excellent diving team around Seb and Captain Ibrahim were far beyond all expectations. As a family, we successfully completed three PADI certifications and had wonderful diving experiences with whale sharks, manta rays, reef sharks, moray eels, dolphins and countless other creatures. The chance encounters with the other hotel guests were, without exception, exceptionally nice and very enriching. All in all, the perfect diving vacation with a super professional, very prudent and well-organized hotel and diving team with a very personal and familiar character.

This is an amazing dive resort. With top notch diving that is very safe and wonderful. The beds are exceptional here and the Chef Shanti made meals that we will be dreaming of for the rest of our lives. Saeed was very attentive and helpful and Lucinda was one of the best dive guides ever! Shout out to Dylan for assisting us when we had equipment trouble with our gear by loaning us gear from the resort. I cannot say how awesome Mette was with both video editing and ensuring our plans to and from the island went smoothly. Can was very educational on the local ocean life as well. Love that this is a small hotel that felt like a family to us in no time. Will be back here as soon as we can afford the airfare again from Ca. I love that this place is eco smart without sacrificing comfort of the guests. Shout out to Romney for this awesome place!

The Dhigurah Boutique Beach Hotel is an amazing place : family style because it is small (6 to 8 rooms I think) and they treat you as family. Everything is well thought and organized for the guests to feel good. They take you to the boat in the morning where all the diving material is waiting for you. The diving is great (we saw mantas and whale sharks !!). Tea and coffee is served on the boat and the crew and diving team is especially nice to their guests. In the evenings there are presentations on the fish you've seen in the morning and every day they upload on YouTube a short movie of the dives of the day ! It's a very quiet and nice place to stay if you want a nice experience of real Maldives away from the big resorts. Dhigurah is an island with a village where Maldivian people live. The hotel is very comfortable and nicely decorated, all the staff is very friendly. Thanks again we had a great time
