Just coming to the end of our week here and want to say up front, it’s one of the most relaxing hotels we have ever stayed at. The staff are all good, especially the staff in the bar, restaurants and around the pool area. An extra special thanks to Christos! The sunbed system is brilliant and you don’t need to get up at the crack of dawn to secure one! You can move locations as they become free if you like, but you are guaranteed a sunbed for your entire stay, no matter what time you get to the pool. The hotel and grounds are immaculate and our room was always clean and impeccably serviced. We wanted somewhere to unwind and we found it. Yet if you want the restaurants, bars and nightlife, they are only 10 minutes walk away. We have been full board plus and had dinner in all three of the a la carte restaurants during our stay. We didn’t have any problems getting reservations as some people seemed to have reported. The Fort-O-Lana restaurant was our favourite, excellent Cypriot dishes to savour, the Nocturne (tasting menu / fine dining) was our least favourite. We wouldn’t go back there again. It felt like the hotel was trying to be something it really isn’t. Some of the dishes had obviously spent a lot of time under heat lamps and had been dried out. The caramelised onions in one of the dishes was literally welded to the plate! The first day we had lunch in the main bar, which was served hot and fresh, but due to a higher occupancy later in the week, they opened the buffet restaurant for lunch. Having a buffet three times a day is too much for me. We asked if we could go back to having our lunch in the bar, but we were told that wasn’t possible. Not sure I understand exactly why, as surely it’s paid for as we were full board plus. It would certainly help to break up the monotony of three buffet meals everyday. The buffet always offered plenty of choice but like other buffets, they are never really better than luke warm, even at the cooking stations, which gets tiresome. Drinks are comparatively priced to local bars. The evening entertainment is low key, but there were a couple of singers on a couple of nights. The worst “entertainment” was a group of “Latin dancers”. Not sure who was being “entertaining” as most of the time they were just talking to each other and playing on their phones, there wasn’t a lot of “dancing”. Amanti management, why don’t you try to hold onto your guests in the evening and put on some entertainment that should match a hotel of this stature? But as I say, if you want the lights, live music and razzmatazz, it’s all very close! But you don’t really hear it in the rooms at night, so don’t panic! Several mentioned the supermarket outside the hotel and we used that regularly. Purchasing snacks and some drinks for our room and balcony was much cheaper than the hotel offered obviously. We will be back. I’m not sure if the full board plus is what we’ll do next time though. There’s plenty to offer outside and o
