So poorly managed I do wonder if anyone was in charge, unbelievably long waiting times for everything from the first drink to the food, one guest ordered chicken pate and got pork pate ! not good at all ! Just avoid or you will be disappointed.

The inn is overlooking the beach with lovely views. However the food was disappointing. We went on a Sunday evening and the roast chicken meal looked and tasted like it was left over from lunchtime. The staff are friendly and maybe another night would be a better idea. I did complain as it was expensive too but they weren't really interested. I'm a local but won't be rushing back to eat there.

The location and views are absolutely wonderful. We had breakfast yesterday which although pricey was lovely and staff super friendly. On that basis we booked a roast today. Waitress was friendly enough but after finishing our mains we let the young girl also working that we were going outside for a cigarette. Our waitress came out and asked us to pay as its policy not to leave the restaurant without paying. Was made to feel untrustworthy therefore paid and left. Got dessert somewhere else. May revisit for drinks and view but not for food. Spoilt the day sadly.

The waitress was lovely when we went in the big windows were open but the evening had gone cool and we were right by the window I ask if they had anywhere away from the window as it was drafty and she said she would closed one of the doors by us. This was better than nothing but it was still on the cool side. I ordered my main and we waited 15minutes to be told it was not available. So ordered the steak and ale pie. The pastry was so overcooked and hard you would break your teeth on it. I soaked it in gravy hoping it would soften. When I did break into the pie some of the meat was burnt and the contents was dried up. It came with over cooked veg and mash. The mash was supposed to be creamy mash was also very dry and had the texture and taste of instant mash. My glass of 250ml wine cost a whopping £17 and my meal was £18. I told the waitress about the meal she asked me if I wanted her to tell the manager I said yes. We didn’t see him not an Apology nothing from the Manager. She did offer us a free desert I said “no when I have had a bad meal I do not want any further food from the place”. I have eaten there before on a few occasions as I am local to it and it has been nice a bit pricey for pub grub but nice. It is ashame as I have now been put off and it is unlikely I will go back as there are so many good places to eat in the area. The waitress was so lovely and I did emphasise it was not her fault and probably mine as we sat at table 13!!!

Little gem of a pub hotel, right on top of the beautiful beach. 20 minutes from Looe. Amazing views, good food, beach access ( steep steps) including an excellent breakfast range , comfy surroundings and very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed for two nights over the bank holiday and had a super time. We had 4 double rooms. All rooms were stylish and comfortable. Some have slightly better views, some slightly larger floorspace and some slightly differing bathroom sizes. We chose all with sea views and they didn’t disappoint. We would especially like to mention Benjamin who greeted on arrival and was exceedingly helpful and friendly throughout. He does them proud. We will definitely recommend to our family and friends. For those interested, the reason we’ve not given 5 stars is due to some ongoing renovations which presumably impacted status of the hallway to the rooms and a slightly erratic room cleaning schedule.

We have just stayed here for a long weekend, wow, from the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by all the staff. The food is awesome, the beer is fantastic, the staff were always super polite and helpful, nothing was to much for them. I found the hotel by zooming in on google maps, saw the location of the Inn and then looked them up. We will be returning in the near future, well recommended for a stay, Downderry room has the best views from two windows.

Lovely little place on the beach. Really impressed with the comfort and style of the room and all the little touches. Looked newly renovated with lovely bathroom and amenities. Lots of little luxuries including a welcome pack, high quality teas/coffee etc. free parking on site. Was a little noisy at night but that was to be expected as it was above a pub.
