Our first stop on our road trip through Northern Europe and Scandinavia. The owner/manger was very welcoming and we were shown to a lovely spacious room. I have never stayed where there was such a large bathroom, huge bath and separate shower. The bed was very comfortable too. We had dinner there and chose to eat outside as it was a lovely evening. It was extremely busy even though it was a Thursday so suggest you book.Breakfast was very good too, plenty of choice and the waitress asked us if we wanted any eggs etc. This was our first stop but will always be my favourite and would love to return here to this great hotel and town.

Very charming hotel with a warm & cosy interior. Good breakfast AND an excellent restaurant - 1 star by Guide Michelin in 2022. Trick to park though but there are parkinghouses within walking distance.

The rooms are absolutely excellent. Very very spacious with beautiful decor that matches the traditional feel of the city. Great to have a Bath and shower, and the large bed was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and the scrambled egg was excellent for breakfast. I had it with some smoked salmon, but there was also cheeses, pastries, cold meats, fruit & yoghurt which you could help yourself too. The only downside was the noise from the restaurant, people were say out until the early hours. Also, it would’ve been nice, as guests, to be asked if we would like to eat in the restaurant during our stay.

It's quite nice: beautifully furnished and with a lot of attention to detail. You can tell that someone enjoys preserving such a gem. The breakfast was nice, but there could have been a bit more choice. I'd be happy to come back any time.

Very nicely furnished rooms. Not brand new, but still very well maintained. Large rooms and bathrooms. Bright rooms. Windows cannot be tilted and face the pedestrian zone. Can be noisy at times, but very central. We were lucky and had a parking space right by the house. Young staff. Very accommodating and friendly. We liked it very much. Breakfast was not so extensive, but you could ask and special requests were catered for. Hotel area on the ground floor very stylish. Terrace in front of the house very nice for the summer.
