This is a great place to stay, great value for a family vacation. If you have kids the farm tour was very educational and engaging. The game drives were educational and enjoyable.

What an absolutely incredible experience. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. The team go above and beyond every minute of the day. The guides are incredible and have amazing knowledge of the area. A little hidden gem in the bush. Do peaceful and lots of elephants 😃

The lodge is located a few kilometers from the main entrance to Hwange National Park. Elephants and other animals come to drink in the pond just a few meters from the lodge. The service is remarkable and attentive. The food is varied, of good quality, and carefully prepared. The staff is very friendly, and it's pleasant to sit outside around a large fire in the evening. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. Our stay at Gwango Lodge is one of our fondest memories of Zimbabwe.

We stayed three nights at Gwango in the tree top villas and we were blown away. When we arrived at the camp as it was going dusk we were met by a family of elephants ranging from large matriarchs to little babies who were drinking at the watering hole only metres in front of us. We saw many elephants walking freely around the camp including walking across the picture windows that fronted the baths in the villas. The villas were newly furbished and beautifully decorated. We were very well looked after by Avocado as front of house. Absolom the guide was extremely knowledgeable and we saw incredibly special sightings of lions with their cubs and painted dogs as well as many other animals. The food from the chef Sam was outstanding! Having lived in South Africa for 10 years before moving to the UK, we have gone to many game lodges and reserves, Gwango Elephant Lodge is among the very best for authenticity, service and sightings. Big thank you to everyone there!

This is a very nice resort that is close to the Huange entrance. Service was very impressive and professional. We had plenty of options to order from the menu, each with a unique flavor. The rooms were a nice size embedded in a safari type feel. We did three tours coordinated through the Gwango hotel. Afternoon drive, evening drive and morning drive. Each time we saw great activity and did not have to wait long. You could see the passion and focus in the staff to make sure you enjoyed your stay. I would have loved to get a few souvenirs from there. I look forward to returning and doing so some day :).
