Stayed in a studio apartment for one night while exploring Kaikoura. I interacted with one staff member at the reception and she was very friendly. The check-in process was easy. The complex is very nice, appears to be newer or well maintained, etc. There is limited parking directly in front of the unit, but plenty of parking on site. The studio is pretty simple: Bed, two small end tables, desk with two chairs, free wifi, kettle, coffee, tea, microwave, mini fridge, milk, etc. The room was nicely decorated although it is on the smaller side compared to other studios I’ve stayed in. The bathroom has a standing shower, small sink, and hairdryer. I’m definitely not a fan of the lighting – it’s very dark in the room after the sun goes down – even with all lights on. The location is a short distance from the city centre, although you’d likely want/need to drive - I would not consider the complex to be walkable since there aren't any restaurants or shops close by.
