Although the room is small and the kitchen is cramped, the performance is good for accommodation in the extremely expensive Mount Cook. At least it has everything you need, and the room is not too old.

Not massively impressed, ended up checking out a night early. Paid $90 a night for 3 adults powered campervan site. After hours arrival was helpful. No assigned spots so you can choose from different areas. A large youth/school group was present during our stay meaning they had taken over the inside kitchen/lounge area. The shower block on that side had a sign saying 'School group bathrooms' - we checked with reception whether that meant we couldn't use them and she said it's only for the groups really. So that left 4 showers and 4 toilets (per gender) for the reminder of a very large campsite. Hence we spent ages queueing for the bathrooms and the large volume meant they were pretty grim, ran out of toilet rolls etc. I think it's great school groups are able to visit but I feel the business/holiday park need to provide separate area/facilities for them. Otherwise it leaves the rest of the paying campsite members with very few facilities and a compromised stay.

We stopped for coffee and cake, ordered at the counter and were given a number. The warmed cake arrived, no coffee. We waited and waited and ten minutes later enquired where it was. The waitress said "I'm doing it now. It's a long line". No it wasn't. Unfortunately there is only this place and a cafe at Mt Cook village. Choose the village.

Disappointed with this room and facilities. Room had 10 bunks (2 of us) and NO other furniture except a basic old red plastic chair! Plus toilet and basin for $200/night!! That sure is a premium on a distant view of Aoraki Mt Cook. Camp kitchen was cramped and outdated. One old microwave available … and shower block had lively insect life ! Pillows and duvets were good. Checkin staff friendly and helpful.

We stayed 2 nights at a powered RV pitch here. The views towards Mount Cook are breathtaking. The facilities were clean, showers wonderfully hot, cooking facilities great. It’s worth a stop if Mount Cook is on your list

Nice cabin that has a small kitchen as well. Great place to come back to after hiking and exploring the surrounding area.

We stayed here with a campervan for one night. Pretty expensive spot if you consider the fact that the toilets are musquito ridden, with, besides the live ones, they lie also dead on the floor in the showers by the thousands. Meaning that they are rearly cleaned. Disgusting.

Convenient location after or before flight to Mt Cook / Tasman Glacier - great views of Mt Cook & mountains from the park.
Usual issues with camp kitchen being over run but we had our own electric frypan, so had the full BBQ shed to ourselves :-)
Facilities & rooms were well kept / clean.

It was as expected. Basic accommodation that meets the needs. Sheets are very nice. Better value than Mt Cook Village.
