Don’t Stay Here! A huge disappointment for $$195 Australian a night. Staff who picked us up from the airport grumpy and stressed. The bungalow had rotting balcony rail that was also broken and dangerous. The fly screens were broken. But the worst was there was a coconut tree growing in the middle of the balcony. It had about a dozen coconuts on it that were ready to fall. So DANGEROUS. When we asked them to take the coconuts out of the tree a man came and removed a couple of palm fronds and said all ok. We could not change rooms as they were full so we could not use the balcony area for fear of a coconut hitting our head. Every time you walked in the bungalow the whole bungalow moved. Windy night and the bungalow moved. Dangerous. Hired a motor bike from the property and back tyre blew after 5 mins ridding it. They replaced it the next day with a bike that had a flat front tyre and was un rideable. They only supply 1ltr of water for 2 people for a 3 day stay and cannot drink water from the taps. So you need transport to go to the shops or water station to replace water. We were stranded with no water because their reception closes at 12 midday and water is a 5klm walk one way and our motor bike was un rideable Disappointed that the hotel could not supply basic necessities. Advertised restaurant on the grounds but only open one night out of 3 we were there. Don’t waste your money by staying here.

The only good thing about this place is the location. The bungalows are old, and it felt like they could fall apart any minute. The same goes for the veranda/balcony. The toilets looked like they had never been cleand, and the maintanence was next to nothing both indoor and outdoor. When we wanted to use the sunbeds on the beach or on the balcony, and they said no, that was the it!! We left the property after 1 night, when we should have stayed 5.

What a dump! Lovely location but this place needs investment. Badly maintained units: chatting to other guests it wasn’t just ours, with cracked floors, baked in dirt in the loo and shower, broken lights and fittings, no WiFi Hotspot, cafe only open two evenings a week (advertised as three), early breakfast before check out missed on last day, and missed return to the airport less than an hour before our flight. A local cafe even laughed when we said where we were staying. A great shame as this place has great potential, just not anytime soon.

We have stayed in varying kinds of accommodation and always make the most of wherever we stay but this place is really something else! Beautiful location but the lodges were not just basic, they are dated, tired and in part dangerous. The toilet and shower cubicle are in need of a good scrub, understatement. The broken light and floor tile need replaced, especially the tile which slightly cut my foot. The cooking facilities need to be looked at, if you offer them make sure they are fit for purpose, not even a knife to chop anything! The restaurant opens when it feels like it, not even the three nights it advertises. Not good when the next nearest eatery is at least 15 minutes walk. Forget staying in touch with the rest of the world as the Vodafone hotspot never worked at all, engineer was due allegedly every day but failed to arrive. The Filipino couple working there are extremely helpful even stepping in to do the airport transfer on the back of his bike when the Manager failed to arrive. Not a journey I would like to do again with a heavy backpack! Avoid as there are many more places to stay that offer better accommodation including Airbnb for similar prices.

My overall experience here wasn’t good. The receptionist was unfriendly and we didn’t feel welcome. I say this, in comparison to our accommodation on Rarotonga, which was the exact opposite. Apart from the beautiful location, the accommodation was testing: The very old fridge leaked onto the cracked tile floor. When I spoke with the receptionist, she suggested I try turning it down. I asked her if she would look at the problem and fix it. The air conditioner didn’t work. The toaster was broken. The shower taps wouldn’t turn off. The toilet cistern ran the who time. Food and beverages were available for one night out of three. The food was good and the bar staff pleasant. Compared to two other lots of accommodation on Rarotonga, I found this was not good value for money and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else.

The accommodation is right on the waterfront and the hosts were absolutely lovely. I seriously enjoyed my time here. Best not to come here expecting the hilton but come and soak up the beautiful location and people, and you will love the place.

Best value for money... chalets on the beach... can't wait to stay again! Fantastic views. Smaller facility to help capture laid back island style. I could have stayed for ever. Yummy dinner, fantastic air conditioner lol

Excellent value for money, huts right on the beach. Beautiful sunsets from your balcony. Whilst the huts are basic they were perfect for us. Amazing hosts, great breakfast provided. Would absolutely stay here again.

Not the best place to stay it is really budget accommodation for a budget price. We had no Hot water our whole stay. cracked and Broken Tiles nails stuck out in kitchen cupboard nails stuck up on the verandah. when you walked around the whole building moved. unfortunately, we had bad weather on our stay and with all the windows and doors shut the curtains blew in the wind floors got wet also our bed did too. the beach location is beautiful I felt they really didn't care about the place sadly. Because of the price they know they are always going to be people that book in would i have paid extra to get somewhere better the Answer is yes
