This is a role model of how a 5-star resort look like. I can feel the sincere welcome from all the staffs. they are so helpful on every aspects. Resort room has privacy and stunning view in front. Inclusive package included all the activities and meals, they are all tailor-made and great. This is a memorable stay in Savusavu, thank you for having me.

I was blown away. The location, the accommodations, but mostly by the people who we met there. We were a group of 8. I don't think they had ever had one group with so many people before. If that is so, they passed every test with flying colors! We were treated like one of the family. We all decided we wanted to have all our meals in the main pavilion next to the kitchen. Easier for the staff to deal with, and we could hear all their happy voices and laughter while we ate and drank and chatted. And the meals....our chef Zach was amazing! We had Simeli and Kele there to drive us around wherever we wanted to go. And they were always willing to talk about Fiji and answer our questions. And all the ladies who are the staff there...beautiful and friendly. We all felt we got a taste of Real Fiji, and we all agreed we could not have had a better time. My only regret was leaving. And hopefully, someday, we will get back there. Keeping my fingers crossed! In short, we all recommend Emaho Sekawa 100% Paul A. Chapman

If you would like a holiday escape different from the usual white-sand-blue-water island bure, Emaho Sekawa is a gem to behold. While many of the resorts in Fiji are located on outlying, and some isolated, islands, Emaho situated itself on the hilltop overlooking the Savusavu Bay, which offers a panoramic view of the ocean, the rainforest and the mountains in one go. Still, you can be rest assure that nearly all activities other resorts offer can be found at Emaho, including kayaking along the river and picnicking on a pristine sand dune. Being all-inclusive, so do many resorts, Emaho has definitely outdone itself. While having only 3 villas, amongst which 2 villas only house 1 couple each, the team dedicates in providing bespoke service to suit every guest's needs. It is definitely a bargain to be able to "charter" the premise at one-room price and enjoy ultimate prestige and privacy. We have booked "Villa Emaho", the signature villa of over 200 sqm in size all to ourselves. With a 20m terrace, it is the best place to appreciate the sun rises and sets with your loved one. As a full-board accommodation, the chef "Kim" (aka Kin-man) is talented and is proficient in a wide range of cuisines, from Fijian to international delicacies, to meet the catering needs of guests from all around the world. Kim will even go the extra mile to design menus daily according to the taste of guests and to hunt for fresh and seasonable ingredients. The Emaho indigenous crews have demonstrated the highest level of Fijian hospitality. As residents from the resort's neighbourhood, the staff not only greet you with the warmest welcome, they are also enthusiastic in showing you the real life of Fijian. Apart from visiting the local town, it was especially an honour for us to be able to participate in a church service with delightful children and teenagers of a local village. We would like to take this opportunity to express our utmost gratitude to each of the Emaho team for their hospitality and efforts: "Rupeni" for taking us around and enabling the visit to his village; "Chantel" and "Olivia" for making arrangement of our daily itinerary; "Sumeli", "Junius" and "Emanuli" for facilitating water activities; and "Farah", "Una", "Mere" and "Loi" for providing comfortable and caring services. All in all, the service is unmatched and is worth every penny. This resort is highly recommended for those who seek tranquility and bespoke vacation.

A true luxury personalized Fiji experience! Location: Stunning and lives up to the pictures, the view is incredible from the villas. You are perched up and surrounded by thick rainforest with amazing sunset views. It is a nice change from the usual beach resorts in Fiji and you’ll experience the more authentic side of Fiji. Villas: Well maintained with all luxuries you’d expect, including stocked personalized fridge, Pure Fiji/Aesop amenities, slippers, robes, good air conditioning and most importantly are bug free. You’ll get the odd occasional fly/bug come into the room but expected in an exotic environment. The infinity pool and deck area is where you’ll spend most of the time, we choose to fully disconnect but there is also apple tv and good wifi. Food: We travelled around Fiji across many resorts but the food at Emaho is what we remember most. Kim who was our personal chef for the stay was fantastic and created a personalized menu just for us and even catering fully for a gluten free intolerance! Gluten free bread and even a freshly baked gluten free carrot cake and sponge cake on our final night were not expected in such a remote location. Some of the other food highlights were the amazing lobster feast, Thai/Asian inspired dishes, Fijian deserts and breakfast spreads. Cocktails were also delicious here made freshly, recommend the Tom Collins and Mojito, it was a treat to have these whenever we wanted right on our terrace. Activities: Everything was catered around us and we were able to make our itinerary as we felt each day. The resort has a comfortable and much needed for the terrain Ford Ranger Raptor for transport which was perfect for our local village tours, waterfall tour, beach, town tour and getting to/from the airport. Rupei took us around as our guide and was amazing and knowledgeable. Ru is a real asset to Emaho and very humble/genuine Service: This is what sets Emaho apart, with just three villas you can expect unrivalled personal service. Everything was done to our time and plan. Every staff was exceptional and authentic, you become part of the family and we learnt so much about Fiji during our stay with Emaho compared to any other resort we stayed at in Fiji. The final night we were serenaded with music and took part of the Kava ceremony with staff and locals, a magical and once in a life time experience that we will never forget and truly thankful to have been part of. Thank you Emaho Sekewa, we hope we can return one day!

We were in the first unit closest to the ocean---what a great view-- I have been blessed to have gone in the past to Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora(yes it is boring boring), Phuket, Turtle Island(also Fiji), The BVI and US VI, Bahamas, Cayman to name a few.....this was the most jaw dropping view of them all; The real treat is the staff- very wonderful and welcoming folks! We will return one day to visit our new friends and have a wonderful relaxing stay again;

All over Fiji are so-called inclusive resorts but Emaho Sekawa is in a league of it’s own. Located on the secluded Savusavu island and about 15 minutes drive from town, Emaho Sekawa is Ultimate luxury, surrounded by lush green palm rainforests and with views over the surrounding beaches and bay. The staff at Emaho are incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming, providing everything that was asked for and giving us a local’s perspective. Emaho perfectly suits an active outdoorsy holiday or a peaceful cocktails by the pool kind of vibe. Their are 3 villas on the property all are self contained with kitchen, private pool, stunning views, day beds, outdoor dining and large verandah, beautiful rich Fijian wood line all the bedrooms and bathrooms with amazing coconut milk products for the shower and bathroom. Incredibly large rooms with California king size bed and a variety of pillows makes sleeping very dreamy. Activities that are on hand include snorkelling, visiting a private island, kayaking, hiking, chasing waterfalls, fishing and visiting the local villages. Our snorkelling encountered beautiful coral, sea stars, zebra fish, clown fish, sea urchin and a rare clam. That afternoon we followed up with kayaking along the local river out into the sea. We got a little tired once we got to the sea and the staff were amazing as they came and picked up our boat as we walked back along the beach. All across the island of Savusavu are mountains and sweeping valleys, so waterfalls are abundant. While some are easy to access others require a guided hike. We reserved one day for a hike where Emaho led us with two guides who cleared the scrub in front of us and made sure we stepped safely. It was a big day but probably the most enriching one of our trip. Wild plants, animals, trees and fruits and vegetables all on show and at the end an incredible waterfall to jump into. This was such a blessing and our guide mentioned that not many people hike these trails, a unique and untouched part of the world, of which there are very few left. Everyday we were greeted by meals that were cooked with a light touch. Nothing was ever over done and the chef has a real finesse to his meals. He will prepare anything you desire and you can choose when you would like to eat. If you want to go off-menu just give them some time to prepare as it takes time to rustle up the ingredients. The menu changed everyday and was a combination of western and Fijian meals. The chef noticed we really enjoyed the fish curries and stews made with coconut milk which are local ad inspired by the Indian diaspora of Fiji. We enjoyed these and mentioned that we wanted to try as much Fijian-native food as possible while there at Emaho, so they are very receptive to requests. The last night the staff prepared a feast (lobster!) and traditional kava ceremony. We had 5 members sing us songs with acoustic guitar both local and western music. Kava is something to be treated with respect and should not be t

We had an amazing time at Emaho Sekawa resort for our honeymoon! We stayed at the Villa Totoka for 7 days and were treated like royalty. An unforgettable experience and so worth it. We happened to be the only guests there during our stay so all the attention was on us! Here were some of our highlights: SERVICE: omg we've never been treated so well at a resort/hotel ever! They gave us a cell phone specifically so we could call the front desk or kitchen if we needed anything. We used it to call mainly to order cocktails to bring to our villa as well as planning activities for the next day. Mire was our bartender/server for most of our stay and she did a great job. In fact everyone did. Especially her, Lora (masseusse), Smally and Reuben (our tour guides) and the chef (can't remember his name now) who would come out personally to speak to us after meals. We were very well cared for and everyone always smiling and laughing with us. FOOD & DRINKS: I'm a big foodie so this was one was very important for me. I can honestly say the food at this resort is the best I've had at any resort or hotel. The chef is extremely talented and can make something very tasty out of the local ingredients he has on hand. Breakfast and lunch are one course while dinner is 3 courses. Some of our favorites were Kokoda, lobster, chicken schnitzel sandwich, fish & chips, mud crab, seafood pizza, chili pesto pasta, eggplant soup, rourou soup, snapper nicoise salad, baked fish, NZ steak. The cocktails were also amazing, I loved ordering the mojitos and coconut drinks made with Fijian rum and vodka ACTIVITIES: Every day we did a new activity and Smally/Reuben were on top of suggesting options to us based on the weather. Activities were planned the day before. Our favorites were the sand island excursion which is a 45 min boat ride to a very small island. Smally brought beer, water, sandwiches, snorkelling gear and even an umbrella to setup at the island. Amazing snorkeling and crystal clear turquoise water. We also loved hiking to the big waterfall although it was a very difficult hike. MASSAGES: As mentioned Lora was an amazing masseusse! Since massages are included in the stay, we ended up getting a 60 minute massage every single day. She is so good at keeping a very nice flow and also great at massaging my head which I loved. It was amazing getting a massage on our deck every afternoon and hearing the calming sounds of the rain. My only gripe was that I tried the sugar scrub on one day and it ended up being only 20 min when it was advertised as a 90 minute treatment. I told management about this and they were happy to hear the feedback to update their guest book.
