We returned again to a friendly warm welcome from the hosts Craig and Katrina They couldn’t have been more helpful with setting up camp and exploring the lovely small town of Hanmer Springs The cleanliness of the toilets and showers were first class and our dogs were welcome by keeping them on leads on site We enjoyed the forest walks and the hot pools which had improved to an excellent standard from our last visit We are looking forward to to another visit here Andy Viv Smith

I had a caravan and had rung, the previous day to book a powered site. I arrived on the day, at approximately 11.30am. They wouldn't allow me to stay and told me to return at 2pm, as that is their check-in time and they were busy cleaning. As I had a caravan, I said that I didn't need to use the facilities, and whats more, I had arrived at other parks early with no drama at all. Because I had booked over the phone, they asked for my card details info, so all they needed to do was allow me to unhitch and they could have charged me when they had finished their cleaning. But no, they couldn't do that. I have never ever been turned away and told to return later. To parking for a car and caravan in Hanmer Springs was a bit of a nightmare. As it so happened, I parked by the Top 10 camping ground, so I went in and asked if they had a site available for the night. 'Yes, we do', tge lovely reception said, so I then asked if I had to wait, and the answer was 'no, just bring your caravan in'. This was at approximately 11.45am. I then contacted Pines Holiday to cancel, and of course, they charged me for that night, cancellation fees! As it turned out, I was very happy not to have stayed, as the grass grounds looked fairly boggy, so staying at Top 10 was a much better option. My site was sealed and facilities looked so much better in all ways. I must say though, that I didn't havectime to check the facilities at Pine Holiday Par. I was disgusted with the attitude of the managers or owners. I would not advise anyone to stay, and another thing is the cost. Compared to other camping grounds I have stayed in, it was too darn expensive for what I believe, what I would have got. There was no skin off their nose as I had to pay, and I didn't use a darn thing there, I just left my tyre marks arriving and leaving

Very popular campsite in Hanmer and close to town, pools and trails. Have stayed here twice now, excellent experience both times, very busy and the camp manager Craig checks in with everyone everyday and making sure that the rules are abided by for the benefit of all campers. $1 Showers are long, hot and good pressure. Washing and dryer excellent, $4.00 each, best washers and dryers we have experienced so far. Like an number of other campers who come and stay for weekend getaways, we hope to return again next year.

Very basic & dated but price is just as high as the other more looked after camp sites in the area like Top10. The showers are timed & you have to pay for them. We camp most weekends & this is the only site I've come across where you have to pay. Myself & a few people I have spoken to have recently have had an uncomfortable encounter where the owner has been quite territorial, meaning we got in trouble for very little (I used the bin for a mattress box, which we used when camping there, after check out & the people we were with parked in the grounds to feed there baby before checking in) which is fine but getting into a confrontation as an adult while on holiday without doing any harm is not exactly ideal. I would recommend the other sites in the area as I have found them much nicer for the same price & they are not watching your every move.

We love this campground. The hosts are super friendly and go out of their way to help. The facilities are clean and the location is superb. As an extra bonus we can bring our two dogs. We wouldn't think about staying anywhere else.

Quiet, great location and clean. A really good campsite with all the amenities. Craig, the host was very approachable and helpful, giving excellent information about the local area and beyond. There is a communal indoor eating and cooking area, together with an outdoor barbeque.

Pretty good for a campground. Facilities were always really clean and the owner/manager always visible and friendly in a good way, checking on how things are going and offering help with little things such as places to park or dry out kit. Location is great as well, with a short walk to town or the hot pools and a park nearby with a playground for kids.

Very strange stay. The owner was more like a school teacher than a business owner. Very unwelcoming and always on the lookout for any problems. The stay felt very uncomfortable, and we were told to leave on numerous occasions. Possibly due to the ethnicity of some of our group. I would not recommend or stay there again. One good thing was his wife was very nice.
