Located at the end of the Desenzano lake but 5 minutes walk from the centre. Dated hotel but almost everything is renovated. Cleaning good as services but some with payments such as spa and indoor pool. A bad breakfast ends at 10. Excellent free parking. Good overall judgement.

From the desk, to the room, to the pool and surroundings: I took a small break and found everything better than expected. A special mention to the restaurant and its service: I really felt special, liked the ambience, dishes where gorgeous and tasty and the service was so responsive and dedicated I felt like being in some fancy luxury venue. Faded glamour, with a hefty emphasis on 'Faded' Sadly I don't think I've ever been as disappointed with a hotel I have spent this much money on. The hotel was clearly once beautiful, but is many years (probably decades) past its best. The check in welcome was not a good start as we drove here and the unclear instructions about where to park whilst we unloaded left us anxious about getting towed. The receptionist didn't seem to care about this at all. The interiors are really shabby and, in places, smelly. The bathroom felt like bits of it might fall off at any point. the hairdryer seemed like it was from the 1970s Breakfast is good when they bother to fill the buffet items up (over 30 minute wait for bacon this morning) They also charge extra for setting up a cot in the room, which I've not experienced in a room costing＞ $200 before. Let alone $300. Best avoided

Great hotel. Have just stayed for 5 nights. Decor and amenities really nice and comfortable. Everywhere was spotless! Our room was quite large and really couldn't fault it. Shower seemed to turn hot and cold all by itself but we managed. Staff were all very hard working and lovely. Even though its just off the lake It's a little remote being in-between Sermione and Desenzano. Glad we had a hire car as I think we would have struggled otherwise but if you have transport It's a good base. There is some free parking on site and nearby. Otherwise they charge 20 euros per night to use their underground parking. Nice rooftop area over looking the lake with a small heated pool. Also has another ground floor large pool though I'm not sure if this is closed now as weather is a little cool. There was an extra charge for us for the spa but we didn't have chance to use it as we were so busy sight seeing. Breakfast was plentiful. Everything you could want to eat. You could get some lunch but there was no evening restaurant which was the only downside for us. There are a few restaurants within walking distance and of course there are thousands of restaurants in the towns around the lake but it maybe would have been nice to come back from a long days sightseeing to be able to relax with a meal before we retired and didn't have to drive/walk back to the hotel after eating.

My partner & I visited this beautiful hotel as part of an eleven day stay at Lake Garda in early June 2024. It was certainly an excellent choice. Our room was spotlessly clean & comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and courteous, which made our holiday all the more worthwhile. I would therefore definitely recommend Villarosa Hotel Desenzano as an ideal place to stay.

Although the first impressions of this hotel may leave you wanting more, by the time we left we’d had a wonderful time after being well looked after by a small collection of lovely members of staff, ranging from the informative receptionists to the attentive ‘breakfast crew’, the barman and the maids. Positioned about A 10 minute walk into town, it is away from the hustle and bustle and a lake view room is a must…3rd floor is ideal. The breakfast options cater for all, including fresh omelettes and a smoothie maker if you’re brave enough to have a go, and the croissants are to die for! Free use of the spa is a bonus ( book it to avoid disappointment). The hotel is great value for money in a town where options are not cheap. Nearest mini-mart is en route in to town on right hand side just before the pedalos! We did a day trip to Verona, via the train ( station is a 25 minute walk away ) and also a coach trip to Venice (2.5 hours on the coach each way-but well worth it with a tour guide who looks after you). A couple of boat trips to Sirmione ( €6 return) and Garda ( bit more expensive on the rapido service) but nice to break up the day. Plenty of restaurants in town to eat at and we kept each visit below €50 with 2 main meals, a carafe of wine, a bottle of water and the cover charge. If you do choose here…. Enjoy!

Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff. On the shore of lake Gada simply stunning. The surrounding are is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is extensive. Small poolon the roof terrace is a real lityle sun trap. If you're arriving by tain taxis are scarce. Use the uber app and you will be able to get a taxi. Thoroughly recomend a stay here and the surrounding area.
