Travel Plaza Hotel

Judging by the reviews I didn't know what to expect but it was clean, fresh,spacious and had branded tea and coffee facilities. I had a great night sleep and would definitely stay again . Well worth the price and the breakfast was lovely.

Booked through American express website, but on check in they didn't want to take this card. WiFi kept going off. Room very basic and not clean. I stayed on a Wednesday 4 other cars in the car park tells its own story. Breakfast, no croissant available, no margarine just butter. Asked for poached eggs on toast to be told I needed to do my own toast! I was eating and it was before 8am but as I was last they cleared away as photo. Won't be going back and suggest you use a travel lodge (this used to be one) which would be cheaper and maintained much better.

Stayed here in January this year as my normal hotel was fully booked. On arrival I was confused as to where to enter as there is two entrances, one to a restaurant which was closed so thought hotel was closed, the smell on arrival was awful! It was a mixture of spices and incense sticks.. not in a good way. I stayed in a ground floor room, bed was ok apart from was on wheels and had laminate floor so every time you move it moves on the floor. I decided to order food and went for fish and chips. This was the worst food without doubt I have ever eaten. The fish was so over cooked there was actually no fish left on the inside of the batter. The chips were dry and tasteless. I have attached a photo as per below. The chap in the restaurant next door which I think is part of the hotel was so rude! He didn’t speak when asked questions and threw my food on the counter. The service was terrible. On the night it was very windy and there was a lot of ‘things’ stored outside of my window which was making a lot of noise all through the night. I didn’t stay for breakfast as I was leaving at 7am and they didn’t open early enough. This was similar for other guests staying. I would genuinely avoid this hotel. I certainly won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else.

The rooms are basic bed was most uncomfortable I have slept in wasn’t a good selection of food unless you like indian food had group of young kids staying which was very loud till gone midnight Staff friendly but wouldn’t stay again

Worst hôtel ever the manager was awful. Awful custumer service. The room are dirty and cold. The woman at the reception are very rude and the guy just constantly. If you looking for a minimum of hygiene don't go there. Is nothing around. The room are way too expensive for what is it during the night its very creepy to stay in this place.

£250 per night for 2 adults in a cold room with a child & 3 single beds. Would rather be at home in the warmth. Just awful. No food either. Cold & hungry. Don’t even bother staying here please it’s miserable. Apparently my review must contain 200 words or it won’t be submitted so I’m continuing to write for the sake of it…..
