Lotus Desaru Beach Resort & Spa Reviews

The room is big and comfy. The food at the seafood restaurant is very nice and portion is really big!! Reasonable!!

My son and I recently went to Lotus Desaru and it was really fun. I actually didn’t expect a lot of things from here, but it really surprised me. The room was spacious, with high ceilings and cozy lighting. We had a bedroom upstairs, which made it feel even bigger. It was clean and comfortable, perfect for the two of us. Their cable even had Nickelodeon, so that was a plus, and they also had some movie channels. They also have room service from one of their restaurants, it can take 30-40 minutes to arrive but the food was really nice and eating inside your own room has some perks to it. My son absolutely loved the water park, and I enjoyed the pools too. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, and a good variety of restaurants with both seafood and western options. The breakfast was great, and the fact that you can catch the sunrise near the beach was a big bonus for us (make sure to head to the restaurant before 8 am, which we did). The beach was also beautiful with white sand and much better than I anticipated. The only thing that made me think twice about going back to the beach was that there was a rope attached to a buoy of some kind. First, I stepped on it and got small cuts on the sole of my right foot, and then I hit it again with my left, but this time, I hit the top part of my foot, resulting in even bigger cuts. I had to buy two band-aids (which were available nearby at the souvenir shop) to stop the bleeding. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who had that experience. I thought the ride from Johor Bahru to Desaru would take long but it only took about 1.5 hours by Grab. The fare from JB to Lotus on Saturday morning was RM255, but oddly enough, the ride back to JB was only RM130. Not sure why, but either way, it’s really not far at all for families coming from Singapore looking for a beach getaway like this. We had an amazing time (aside from that injury), and we are actually booked to go back in October with my two sons and wife, who couldn’t join last time. I highly recommend it for families who want a short ride and time off from the busy Singapore life.

A nice place for families. The room is large. There is no issue for the family. There is a good beach and swimming pool for children, and at night, they can enjoy food at their resort.

Easy access by Desaru highway. Plenty of food choice and various activities provided my hotel. Very satisfied with amenities provided by the hotel. Splash pool is not very clean and too crowded during school holiday. Lazy river quite dangerous if you use the float, I flip over and bang my head twice. More safe if free body instead of using floaty.

Everything ok except the coconut water park...need to clean n renovate...water Soo dirty...

the room is good and comfortable. the waterpark is nice and suitable for all. Breakfast is good with many choice.

History place, although it had beed already many years, still well maintained and clean. My family lobe it!

I'm Was Happy Staying At this Resort My kids very like it's play at the water park. The hotel amenities are good Room Hotel are clean and Bed comfortable. I'm very recommended this Resort For family vocation

Staff friendly, housekeeping helpful. Have lots of activities to do here. Have waterparks, lots of choices of restaurants, and beach to play.

You practically do not have to go out of the resort to have a nice vacay. There are several restaurants, convenience store, water park, swimming pool, spa, karaoke rooms, gym, watersport centre and offers other activities like archery, mini golf and etc. The rooms though dated are clean and well-maintained. The beach is also clean so we enjoy jumping into the sea. Watching sunrise from the beach is also something beautiful…

We have a wonderful holidays with the kids. The kids enjoying the swimming pools. Only thing is on the last day upon check out the lift is not working.. we have to use the staircases:(

We spent 4 days at the resort. Everything is very good. Only the living room air conditioner is not working at all( very old one), but my mother doesn’t want to change to other room, so we kept 3 bedrooms’ door open to cool down the living room. Strongly recommend the restaurant. Breakfast lunch dinner are all wonderful Kids love the beach and swimming pool a lot
