The two women checking me in at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The gentleman that was diligently clearing the snow from the parking lot and walkways was appreciated as well! All interactions with staff was pleasant and seemed genuine. As others have pointed out, the pool was clean and the kids loved it. We loved the clean hot tub. The warm sausage biscuit gravy was awesome! I completely understand the public health reason for the grab and go selection, but a warm breakfast was a nice touch in this environment. Typically traveling with a family, the warm breakfast and multiple options is one of the reasons why I choose to stay at a Best Western when traveling. For my level of comfort the bed was so-so and little on the firm side and I could also say that I wasn't blown away by the pillows, as some have either raved about the both or ranted. I slept ok, but my wife didn't. Our sleep assessments are a little different. Overall, the room temperature was well regulated and I didn't hear other guests around me. We stayed in a King Suite and the leather couch was nice touch in the sitting area. Two items I would suggest for improvement. One; add recycling cans. Most hotels now have a recycling can or two in the rooms and if you're going to ”regulate waste” by having soap dispensers in the shower, then you should have recycling cans in the room for the plastic water bottles that you provided in our room. Additionally, with a grocery store across the street it would make sense that guests would stop there and consume products that would have recyclable waste. Suggestion two; in the King suite maybe consider moving the location of the television and adding a swivel arm mount, so the tv can be easily seen when spending time in the sitting area and when in bed area. Overall, I was happy with my stay and I'm sure I will be back again for a longer stay.

I have to admit, it has been a few years since I stayed at this property. I mainly picked this hotel, as we were between trips and I needed a hotel with coin laundry. First impressions didn't go well. The trainee checking us in was surly, sulky and downright miserable. When I politely asked if there was any possibility of an upgrade, without even looking at her screen, she grunted NO. I then asked if we could get a room on the ground floor, as we had quite a bit of luggage. She then argued that we could get our luggage into an elevator, but she finally relented. It would have been nice if she had told us that we could have easily reached our room if we walked out the door and went around the back, rather than struggling our way through the lobby and pool area. The room was fine, although the bed was rather small, and I had to go back to reception for extra towels. Luckily, Miss Sulky boots had left for the night, and a very nice, older night manager was on duty. I did reveal our check-in experience to him and he was appalled. Breakfast was okay, but it was so much better pre-Covid with more choices. And sadly, the nightly reception has been ”enhanced” away. The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurants, a Target, etc. But remember to bring your ID, especially if there is an event at the arena. The coin laundry was very cheap and it even takes credit cards. Machines worked well. The shuttle back to the airport was fine.

Courtyard Chicago Glenview/Northbrook

Glenview|2.99km from Koehnline Museum of Art
The Marriot Courtyard in Glenview is NOT the place anyone should stay at. Upon check in the staff was rude and treated me like an ***** for checking in at 9 am. I explained to the staff that I had booked the room for and paid the previous day (Friday 6/10) in order to ensure that we would be able to enter the room once our plane landed on 6/11. Once the staff member pulled up my reservation and finally listened to me she said “you’re already checked in so you just need a key?” In a rather rude tone to which I replied “I’m unsure of your process but yes just give me my room key so I can go”. I confirmed with the worker that we had a crib for my son to sleep in in the room due to us all immediately needing a nap, she confirmed that it was there and she saw the notes on my account asking for one. Upon entering our room my fiancé and I saw it was in disrepair, it was a “renovated “ hotel, yet the baseboards in our room where not straight they where warped from what we assumed to be water damage, along with a large crack/ hole in our bedroom wall. Under the two air conditioning units was about a 3 in high gap that ran the whole length of the unit filled with spider webs and every other guests dirt and grime. I found the crib that was supposed to be in my room was not there so I called the front desk and told the worker there was no crib and I need one for my 2 year old to nap, she said one would be there immediately. The ottoman had stains on it along with the pull out couch. I searched the room for sheets for the pullout couch since that is where my 2 daughters would be sleeping. There was none. I called the front desk where the once again rude woman told me to “look in the drawers” I informed her I already did in fact and there was nothing but a cheap old fleece blanket. The woman came down with some bedding and asked if the crib had made it yet and I informed her it had not, about 10 minutes later it argued at my door (at this point this is an hour past check in when I first confirmed it was in my room. I go to get my kids settled in bed for a nap to find they brought only flat sheets as bedding no fitted sheets for theirs cheep pull out couch, so I did my best to get it to stay on the bed my children where sleeping on. That night my children end up sleeping at their grandmas and it was only my fiancé and I in our room. In one night I encountered around 5 spiders in my room, but brushed it off despite my fear of spiders. The next night our children where back at our hotel. The following morning which was the morning of Monday 5/13 I woke up to about 6 more spiders around the room. I couldn’t handle that amount of bugs and went to the front desk asking to move rooms. The girl working that day informed me they where fully booked but could move me the next night and I agreed. Upon going back to my room my children had woken up and my 6 year old had a strange mark on her face I assumed from sleeping wrong. 30-45 minutes later my 6 year old was ful

We ended up coming in a night earlier than anticipated which meant we had to stay for two nights. The room was basic. Bring your own pillows; there is not a regular sized pillow in the rooms (it was almost like a square throw pillow). The heat lamp in the bathroom did not work and it was very dark in there. It was very difficult to regulate the temperature, the thermostat was located right under the window which had a terrible draft. It was also extremely dry in the room. Our room key did not work for the second night we were staying; we had to get the front desk staff to re-activate it after being locked out of room. Very basic workout facility, during our stay one of the two treadmills were operable. We had to ask for a breakfast voucher for the restaurant that shares a parking lot with the hotel. The parking lot is very small and difficult to maneuver around in snow. Shuttle pickup from airport was okay, took about 20 minutes on New Years Eve. For quick overnight stay this hotel is sufficient but for multiple nights I'd stay elsewhere.

This is located a bit off the beaten path relative to the craziness of Chicago. Parking is a bit better Price that other hotels nearby, it’s $18 per night. I like that they have a dinner menu along with a bar. I would rather eat in when I’m traveling, especially in the winter. Also love that they include my type of food on the menu, like Brussels sprouts and Mediterranean fare. If you like nice fluffy towels in your room, you will surely be disappointed. While they were better that the renaissance O’Hare, they are still rough and just a couple steps up from sandpaper. It’s an older hotel but the upkeep is good. Staff is very friendly.

In the United States hotel, the breakfast is good, the best breakfast in the whole process, better than Marriott. The surrounding is also convenient. The target price is not high, especially after going to Costco.
