Stables Ashbourne

This was absolutely the BEST hotel we’ve ever stayed in. I’m so glad we added an extra night. We found this hotel online and took a gamble as we came from the states and have never seen it before. It exceeded every expectation. The hot tub was so relaxing after long days of walking around the countryside. Looking forward to our next stay!

We stopped her for a night away and had an amazing night, the room and hot tub/views was stunning. Extra touches for my birthday and hand written card, fridge with complimentary drinks, tea/coffee and even biscuits. Robes, slippers and plenty of towels provided, toiletries smelt lush. Room service was great and the food was unreal. We had dinner and breakfast from the pub and the staff are lovely. check in and check out was easy and free parking right outside your door. Will 100% return. Thank you so much.

Had a one night stay to celebrate a special birthday. This place certainly lived up to expectations. We stayed in a junior suite and I cannot fault this place: an amazingly comfortable bed; fabulous shower and toiletries; Nespresso machine, pods, stocked mini fridge and selection of glasses; and a beautiful Japanese hot tub. A perfect stay, I would love to return and would highly recommend for a romantic treat night away.

5 star luxury room. Spotlessly clean beautiful room. Complimentary drinks in the fridge and lovely smellies in the bathroom also Complimentary. Had room service and the food was delicious (steak burger) Would recommend this place to anyone Thank you to all staff that made my stay special.

The Stables was an absolute little gem of a place. 14 of us went for the night following a hike and took the whole place over which was fab as a couple of the rooms had spa access with sauna and jacuzzi and we had it all to ourselves, perfect to enjoy a glass of fizz in after a long walk with the girls whilst the boys enjoyed their hot tubs on the balcony. A short stroll to the town where we had a nice dinner at one the local restaurants then on to one of the bars. Great fun and a very nice breakfast in the hotels sister pub the bowling green. The rooms are stunning modern and contemporary the bed is so comfortable. We will definitely be back.

My wife & I stopped here on the way home after celebrating her birthday at the Malmaison in Manchester. The Stables absolutely knocked spots off the Manchester stay, hands down! We entered the Bowling Green pub to check in an hour early and enjoyed a drink in the bar whilst we waited. Amy and the staff were very attentive, keeping glasses full and providing snacks. They even had the room ready ahead of schedule allowing us to check-in early and enjoy the facilities. The room was excellent, superbly furbished with a lovely en-suite, all spotlessly clean. The staff had decorated the room with rose petals and balloons, on account of my wife’s birthday, which was a nice touch. There was a coffee machine, tea pot, fresh milk, the bed was super comfortable and the Japanese hot tub was a delight, especially as room service was on hand with pink champagne & chips! The attention to detail was immaculate. The evening meal in the restaurant was delicious. They really are steak aficionados. We would highly recommend the Stables.
