The room was a little musty, like someone had smoked in there, I asked for a key to open the window, I had to go down and fetch this myself (it was 1am) and the window still did not open.
Nice drinks tray, with nice biscuits and twinnings tea! Heater in the room works well.
Definitely in real need of refurbishing!!.
Breakfast was like entering a different hotel, attentive and friendly staff, no stale smell, food was fresh and had a good selection. Coffee was nice.

GGuest UserPleasant hotel. Friendly staff. Have stayed here before when visiting relatives. Walking distance to the train station and there is a restaurant chain across the road for lunch and evening meals if you don't fancy going into town..
GGuest UserOur recent stay at the Leonardo Derby City Centre was exceptionally enjoyable. The hotel’s prime location is great. The pricing was reasonable, and we made the decision to upgrade to the executive room. This upgrade provided us with complimentary alcoholic beverages, chocolate cans of soft drinks, coffee at the hotel bar, and a 20% discount on food, which proved to be a worthwhile. It also has underground parking (get there early to secure a position. We would certainly recommend this hotel for future stays.
GGuest Userfriendly and helpful, going out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself is well-maintained and clean, with modern amenities and comfortable rooms. The location is also excellent, being conveniently located near attractions and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value and an enjoyable stay in [Location].
GGuest UserI booked it online and is was a very good offend, just to get there and find out I need to pat £150 on top of my online purchase, which was shocking.
Food, service and staff were OK.
GGuest UserCheck-in is available at 3pm. The room and bathroom are large, but the windows are smaller than the room. The windows of other rooms in the building opposite have no view. The windows are locked and cannot be opened. I contacted the front desk and said that all the windows in the hotel cannot be opened, but because there are ventilation facilities, There was no feeling of depression during my stay. The bed was comfortable and clean. WiFi is slow. The location is close to the city center and a 30-minute walk to the train station. The service attitude of the hotel was poor. I paid in advance to stay for 3 nights. Due to an emergency at home, I only stayed for two nights. After many negotiations with the hotel, the hotel would not refund the remaining 1 night's prepaid room fee.
