Deqin Guyu Huating Inn Reviews

We stayed here for three nights whilst exploring upper Yubeng and doing some of the hikes. The location is great with some good panoramic views of the mountains. Sunset and sunrise are both amazing from here! The service was good, friendly staff and kind people. The room is fine! We had a heater which helped a lot for the cold nights. We didn't like the disposable towels, such a waste! Also the room wasn't cleaned once in our three nights and we had to keep asking for toilet paper/towels ourselves. Apart from that everything was fine. Good vegetarian food too:)

My room was as described. Functional and nice and warm (with heating on) with an excellent hot shower and nice wooden wall beams. The people who run the place are lovely and also offer nice breakfast options in the morning. The only small note I have is that (despite best efforts and a very modern ventilation system in the bathroom) the bathroom is already moldy. I understand that it's a challenge to get under control given the climate. I would stay again next time, and actually spend more than just one night here. There is so much you can explore here!

Great place to stay while hiking. Nice comfortable beds, hot water, electric blankets. Only had disposable towels in my room. Good food in the kitchen also! And hiking poles to borrow (would recommend taking hiking poles to Glacier Lake, not as necessary for the waterfall). GREAT VIEW.

The hotel had the best view and the best service throughout our yunnan trip. They even allowed us to upgrade our room for free. Really recommend this hotel for your yubeng stay!!

VERY DISAPPOINTING! Overall: The inn is nice and confortable but the service is terrible. Service made us feel very unwelcome and ruined the experience. Room: humble but comfortable room. You can ask for a heater, which is very needed in the winter months (we stayed here in late November). Be aware that some rooms are marked as “Mountain View” but in fact you’re in a covered area so won’t really have a view (pictures attached) - we booked one of these rooms but since it was low season we were lucky to get a free upgrade and get one of the few rooms with a nice view. Cleanliness: the rooms are relatively clean, but we had a mouldy shower curtain (see pictures). Amenities: the restaurant / front desk area is very nice and cosy. Service: terrible! Every time we needed their assistance it felt as if we were disturbing them from sitting by the fire (even though they barely had any customers and it seemed as if they were not busy at all). We are international traveler’s that don’t speak Chinese and the service was unhelpful and not welcoming. We’ve had no issues anywhere else in our trip in China, this was definitely the worst we have experienced. After reading other reviews it seems that the boss is very helpful, but he wasn’t there when we stayed at the inn and it appears that the workers don’t do a good job when he is not around. The workers didn’t advise us that we needed crampons for one of the hikes we did (hikers from other inns told us that these were a must) so we had to reluctantly stay one more night to complete the hike. When we booked another night, one service member told us a price and another service person told us a different (lower, almost 100cny lower) price. We were then charged the first (higher) price, which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The day after when we tried to rent crampons from the inn the lady told us that it was 20 cny to rent per day, and that in other places it was 40 cny per day. We decided not to rent them because they looked in very bad condition. We later found out that you can buy them brand new at “meets meili snow mountain” for 35cny and use them for the 2 hikes. We also had to rent hiking poles even though they provide them for free at the hotel given that the ones they had didn’t look in good condition and weren’t tall enough for us (the lady at the desk got frustrated with us because of this). Overall, very unhelpful, impatient service - we felt extremely uncomfortable because of it. If you’re an international traveller and don’t speak much Chinese stay away!! Food: was good but small portions compared to other places. We ended up eating most of our meals elsewhere because the service made us feel very unwelcome. Limited breakfast options, there’s many more options at “meets meili snow mountain”.

Although the room is relatively small, the facilities and environment are the most comfortable in this Yubeng trip. The service experience is several levels higher than the inns that cost one or two hundred yuan. I stayed in three in total, from more than one hundred yuan, more than two hundred yuan to this one that cost more than three hundred yuan. This one gave me the most comfortable feeling. When I first checked in, the boss saw that I had a lot of luggage and said he would help me move it to the room. The boss originally wanted to help me carry the heaviest bag, saying that I must be very tired after coming up. This made people feel very warm. The other two inns I stayed in did not have such a service attitude. In addition, I was very satisfied with the facilities in the room, because there were disposable bath towels, face towels and toilet covers here, which were not available in the previous inns. I didn’t have to worry about the towels in the inn being dirty. There was enough hot water for bathing, but I had to wait two or three minutes for it to reach the hottest temperature. It was very comfortable to bathe. The toilet was very neat overall. In addition, the hair dryer was the best one among the inns I stayed in. The power was very sufficient. The previous inns I stayed in were either broken or not hot enough. Finally, there is a washing machine outside, so you don't have to worry about not having a change of clothes after a sweaty hike. There is also a large platform with a cover for us to dry clothes. Finally, there is a terrace where you can enjoy the snow-capped mountains, which is very nice. Overall, the accommodation experience is great. The price of more than 300 yuan is very cost-effective. I personally recommend everyone to stay here.

The room is nice and clean, and disposable towels are used. The electric heater and electric blanket in the room are very powerful! It is super warm, and you can walk around the house in short sleeves, which is rare. There are 3 features of his home: 1. Unbeatable scenery, lying in the room and looking at the snow-capped mountains, it is very beautiful! 2. There are 6 cats, which are very cute and clingy 3. In addition to B&B accommodation, there is also a restaurant. The stir-fried dishes are also delicious, recommended!

The location of the inn is very good and easy to find. There is a restaurant on the first floor of the store, and a supermarket next to it, which is very convenient for eating and shopping. The room faces the snow-capped mountains, and the scenery is great. You can see the snow-capped mountains when you lie on the bed in the morning~ The attitude of the store owner is also very enthusiastic, and he greeted me very actively. The boss also gave me coffee coupons, and there are cute cats for business. Recommended!

There is a small bar under the room. It is very relaxing to sit there when you have nothing to do. You can eat in the lobby of the inn. The taste is very good and the price is reasonable. I drank 4 bowls of rice by myself. The room is relatively small, but you can see the snow-capped mountains when lying on the bed. The only thing is that the sound insulation is a bit poor. You can hear people talking in the next room. People with poor sleep need to consider this. In addition, there will be noise when people pass by in the corridor. There are electric heaters and electric blankets in the room, so you won't feel cold when you sleep. The uncle who serves at the front desk is very enthusiastic and nice.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The room is directly facing the snow-capped mountains. It is very clean. The Rizhao Golden Mountain that I didn't see in Feilai Temple is actually a little more complete here. There is also a restaurant here and a bar downstairs. I must go there for a drink every night. It is recommended

The boss lady is enthusiastic, the ******* girl is responsive, and the auntie cooks delicious food. It feels like home! Sitting on the balcony and looking at the scenery is so happy!
