The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, Autograph Collection

I would give the brown palace 2/5 stars. The only reason it’s getting 2 is because of the excellent wait staff we had at breakfast. They were so friendly and kind and attentive. Definitely recommend just going for breakfast to see them. As far as everything else it was subpar as best. I paid over $350 for my room and then at checkout paid and extra $109 just for internet and amenities. That definitely should have been included for what the hotel has to offer. Overall front desk staff was rude and stand offish and not very helpful at all. There’s some great historic pieces in the hotel but not enough for it to be worth what we paid for.

Our room was beautiful although a tiny bit small. We loved all of the historic touches of the hotel. It was a special treat.

Staff is why to stay here, along with history The Valets, the Front Desk, the Waitstaff, the Housekeeping, and the Custodials were top of the line. Come for the history and the staff will be why people come back.

The lobby and the Ship Tavern were great! The suite was a let down: tired, a bit dirty, cold, and the kitchen smelled like sewage, which unfortunately made the living room unusable. It’s a beautiful old classic hotel, but they need to focus on more than serving high tea. For the price, you can do better elsewhere, which is too bad because I really wanted to love it.

Such a lovely hotel, with courteous and attentive staff. We will stay here again when we come to Denver.

I liked the hotel alot. The bathroom was small and i found the jazz in the lobby area downstairs a bit much…loud and long. Otherwise I enjoyed the historic hotel.
