Residence Inn Denver Airport/Convention Center

Overall it is at least updated and not rundown and outdated like a majority of the RIs are now, which is why I chose it. But, as others have complained, the shuttle leaves you stranded. No matter what, the shuttle is always "about 10 min away"...but you wait half an hour call again..and repeat. Finally another shuttle driver took pity on us because he had made three different trips and saw us still there..so he just dropped us off. It had been a long day, we waited for the non-existent shuttle for over an hour, we were beyond tired, but I always try to be nice and friendly to the check in person...but despite my trying to be friendly, the check in person was an absolute snot. I am guessing she was the one that kept lying to us about the shuttle. She threw my key card at me , and walked away. Nothing about breakfast hours, internet info or any of the other info they usually provided upon check in. I was just there overnight, and it was adequate I suppose (breakfast a bit below the normal standards..which is a pretty low bar to begin with). I have to be in Denver pretty frequently over the next year...but due to the staff I will take them off my list of options of hotels to book when I am in town.

Booked this because it looked fairly new and had decent reviews- don't be deceived! Room was dirty, with a full trash can from the previous guest unemptied, which included some paperwork with their personal information on it. Shower had hairs that should have been caught, and the body wash dispenser was completely out. The numerous complaints about the shuttle are very real. The shuttle is shared with multiple cheaper hotels nearby, so it's packed with people and had no room for luggage. Worse yet, when departing to the airport during lunchtime, they left me stranded. I booked it for 1pm upon checking in, per their instructions, and when I went down to catch it, they were unprepared and making contact with the shuttle driver for the first time. He couldn't make it back for at least 30 mins. Front desk staff would not cover the cost of an Uber or Taxi so that I could catch my flight, despite this being entirely their fault. I've attempted to contact the General Manager multiple times for reimbursement but have received nothing other than a copy and paste "we're sorry we let you down" response. Don't stay here! Dirty, poorly managed, and run by a GM who isn't paying attention to customer needs.

We stayed here the last night of our 17-day road trip visiting the national parks. We read some very negative things about this hotel in Tripadvisor, but our experience was really good, and we would stay there again. We stayed in room 312, which was clean and very comfortable. We checked in, put our stuff in our room, took our rental back to the airport and got returned to the hotel by their shuttle without any problem at all. There is a parking fee at the hotel, but we no longer had our rental. The next morning, we took to shuttle back to the airport without a problem either but be there ready for the van to arrive in the morning. The only problems were the shower door is very heavy glass and hard to more. The elevators are a little slow and rocky, but neither really caused us any trouble. The breakfast was a bit less then others on our trip, but they had real dishes, silverware and glasses to use, which was better than our other hotel stays. Lastly, I should say, we used our Marriott points to get this room for free so that made our stay even better. We really like our stays at Resident Inns.

My first ever one star review and you determine if the review is justified. As background, I am a Marriott Platinum for Life and a frequent traveler. On Sunday, August 11th, I telephoned this property to ensure that they had a shuttle to the airport. I was advised they had a 24 hour shuttle. Based on this information we booked one night at $156.25 with tax. We arrived at the hotel at 10 pm, checked in and requested a 6:30 am shuttle. We were advised the shuttle was booked solid from 4:30 am until 8 am and we could either leave at 4 am or 9:30 am. The front desk rep advised the shuttle is frequently not available during the morning hours on Monday and Tuesday, which we weren't told when we booked the reservation. The next morning we paid $27.55 to take a LYFT to the airport. The same day, I ascertained the name of the General Manager, Chris Katon and sent him a polite email explaining the situation and respectfully requested a refund of our LYFT cost. Radio silence! Over the next three weeks I telephoned the hotel three times and left polite messages on his voicemail. I have yet to get a response. I filed a complaint with Marriott Customer Service and they responded that the hotel would respond to my complaint within three to five business days. It has been 10 days and nothing. I write this review as a warning that if you plan to book the hotel to use the airport shuttle you ensure that the shuttle is available at the time you make your booking. I have never had issues with Marriott before, but their lack of so much as an acknowledgement of my issues may need me to rethink my choice of their chain. Marius

Like many other Residence Inn, also this property offers friendly service, clean rooms, complimentary airport shuttle, a free basic breakfast, a small gym and very spacious rooms that have all you need for just - as in our case - an overnight stay or a longer stay with family. We have come to apprecicate Residence Inn over the last few years and staying at this place just corroborates this being a smart choice. Will stay there again when back in DEN next time.

Horrible service from front desk staff. Came after 4pm, check in time asked higher floor said sore still cleaning everything. Inexcusable, I worked in 645 room hotel you staff and plan for occupancy. No carts available to move luggage to your room or information provided at check in. It was like was inconveniencing her. Oh yeah air conditioner crazy loud, don’t offer enough pillows for pull out couch. As Marriott member expect much better. Rooms are nice, though bathroom shower door opens on own and lights flicker on and off.
