Belle Vue Guest House

I enjoyed the privilege of staying in the Ely room as a solo guest. The Ely was presented in a beautiful condition and proved to be quiet, well laid out and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely spotless with instant hot water and the biggest towels. I’m a frequent traveler and as a consequence I’ve stayed in countless hotels and guest houses. I can hand on heart state that my stay at the Belle Vue and the Ely room in particular was as good as any luxury hotel I’ve experienced. Top Tip: The delicious Full English Breakfast will certainly set you up for the day. Don’t be tempted to opt for the Fuller English unless you have a very big appetite. I’m not a regular writer of reviews, I do however wish to fully endorse the Belle Vue and have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful Guest House. Thank you Martyn and Lou.

One of the best b and bs we have stayed in. Room was just fantastic, comfy, beautifully decorated and everything you need. Every little touch and thought put in was outstanding. Whole house clean and Martyn the host was welcoming and friendly. A breakfast to die for, delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you, hope to come again.

Truly exceptional experience, the house is amazing and our room was beyond first-class. Breakfast was fantastic and the hosts were very warm, helpful and friendly. We will return soon and can specially recommend this property. Parking is easy and there was a convenient public house close to the property; just great.

Another great stay at Belle View. My 98 year old mother loved her downstairs room and was very comfortable, as I was in the lovely Sandringham Room. This is so much more than a B&B. Martyn and Lou are perfect hosts and the breakfast is not to be beaten! It is a great place to tour the area from and I will definitely be visiting again....and again!

THE best bed and breakfast ever! I cannot endorse this guest house more highly - simply the perfect place to stay. The owner, Martyn, sent several messages whilst we were en route to ensure a 'happy landing'. Super comfortable accommodation, warm and inviting. Comfortable bed, yummy biscuits on the in-room tea/coffee tray. Menu choice form there to be completed for our breakfast order - and he went above and beyond with extra finishing touches we mentioned we would like for the meal. Another lovely extra is being able to help oneself to fresh milk for in-room drinks from the breakfast room at whatever time you require it. Home from home comforts in a really beautiful house. Don't tell everyone though, or it will be full when I want to book!!

I visited the area for a wedding nearby, and stayed in the Nottingham room. From the beginning I was made to feel very welcome as Martyn greeted me at reception before showing me to the room. The room was immaculately kept, and very cosy. Plenty of complimentary teas and coffees, and the room was very spatious and stylish, had a lovely ensuite and huge bed. The breakfast was lovely as well, plenty to choose from and great quality food, and it was lovely to speak to fellow travellers over coffee. I was also helped further at the end of my stay, when I was offerred a lift to the local train station to avoid walking in the adverse weather! It was a lovely touch, and I was left feeling saddened to have to go home again. Overall, very worth the money and I'll be happy to come back! Thank you Martyn and Lou for such a lovely weekend!
