Stayokay Hostel is located in Den Burg. It is a quiet village with many shops and restaurants. Around the hotel there are many green spaces and sports fields. There is a playground and a huge terrace. Modern and large building. Party room available. Spacious and bright rooms, plenty of storage spaces, a toilet and a shower in each room. Showers sometimes too small. Only difficult to get down from the top bunk bed because the steps were too short. Board games available. Pleasant bar. Nice and polite staff. The breakfast was extensive and fresh. Apple juice and orange juice available.

We stayed 3 nights at stayokay Texel, a great experience! Well-kept rooms, entertainment, delicious breakfast buffet and dinner (optional). A nice playground outside. Even in bad weather you can enjoy yourself at the shuffleboard, shottet table, play area for children,... it was great!

Slept very well (good beds). Breakfast was great and super fresh. Only thought the evening staff were too busy smoking and playing pool. When checking out, my husband received a gift from our friends for his birthday (which they had sent) and the staff sang cheerfully 😀 Cozy center less than a 5-minute walk away. In short, a top accommodation for a good price, highly recommended.

Great stay at Stayokay in Texel! The room is very spartan, without frills, but the common areas, very well decorated, and the exterior are extraordinary when you have children: swings, a zip line, board games, books, what a choice! We really appreciated being able to rent the bikes on site and go for a ride. The breakfasts were delicious and varied. Lots of families with children like us. We recommend !

Simple and easy stay. Man at reception very unfriendly and unreasonable. I really enjoy being the boss. Immediately emphasize the general terms and conditions upon arrival and will kick you out of the hostel for nuisance at the slightest thing, without having proof of this. Definitely not recommended for groups!

This was a pleasant stay. We arrived on a Tuesday and left on Friday morning after breakfast. The weather was good and there was a lot to do for the children in and around the hostel, they loved it! The hostel is centrally located on Texel in the town of Den Burg. Very suitable as a base for various day trips. The accommodation is very clean, the staff is very friendly and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast is in the form of a buffet with a lot of choice. The evening meal is also good (price/quality ratio). It's a pity that we were unable to stay one evening. could due to fully booked?? (BBQ) For the rest, nothing but praise

What an incredibly nice and fun place. nice and helpful staff. Good and varied breakfast, excellent rooms that are clean and the hostel is close to the center of Den Burg. There is a covered bicycle shed for your bicycle. I will definitely come back again.

WEGBLIJVEN!! Ze schromen niet om de wet te overtreden, hierover onder meer. Stayokay den burg is in bijna alles een teleurstelling. Laten we beginnen met het goede punt: er zijn toestellen voor de kinderen om buiten te spelen. Dan de stormvloed aan negatieve punten die ik en ons gezelschap (13 volwassenen, 5 kinderen) in de 2 nachten dat we er slaapten hebben opgemerkt. De kamer (familie kamer): we kwamen binnen in een sauna, de verwarming stond op 666°C en het leek alsof de kamer nog lucht bevatte van vorige week. Daarnaast was er meer stof in de kamer aanwezig dan in de gehele saharawoestijn. De bedden waren van schandalige kwaliteit. Het sanitair was goor, schimmels in de voegen, stukken tegel afgebroken en een douche die je continu moest indrukken. Dan komen we bij het ergste van ons verblijf. de service: Ronduit schandalig behandeld. Ik "sliep" (voor zover dat kon) samen met mijn vrouw en 2 kinderen op 1 kamer. Ik was net ingeslapen, wanneer op dat moment een van de bewaaksters hard op de deur bonkte (2 kinderen schrokken wakker). Toen wij hier geen gehoor aangaven, betrad de bewaakster zonder onze toestemming de kamer omdat er wat spullen op de tafel buiten lag. Met die reden heeft zij 2 kinderen een doodsangst bezorgd. Ronduit walgelijk authoritair Neanderthaler gedrag. Daarnaast een overtreding van "de Algemene wet op het binnentreden". Vervolgens zijn we ook nog eens onterecht beschuldigd van roken. Kortom een schande voor Texel.
