A trip to Delmenhorst was necessary for business reasons. Since no information about the location was available, the secretary booked a hotel near the office. The location is actually close to the center, but very noisy at the front because of the street and at the back because of the parking lot (construction workers listening to music). Checking in was pretty cool. There was a corpulent man in a stained T-shirt sitting there handing over the room key. Everything else was irrelevant. The hotel itself is a well-made facade, very modern in the entrance area and also in the restaurant and toilet areas. If you go behind the scenes: Welcome to the Standard 1960. Crazy. The rooms are in an acceptable condition, superficially. Very small TV, no refrigerator, no safe or anything else. Bed linen clean, mattresses clean, bathroom clean at first glance. Unfortunately, the second look is not so great, a look into the radiators and you might think that a cozy home has been furnished with lots of wool. The surfaces were very carelessly mopped and parts of the tiled floor had a sticky effect. The breakfast buffet was in line with the category, everything was there. Jam, cereal and all the sausage and cheese you could want. The staff were very attentive and tried very hard. You can also have a drink in the hotel and also something to eat in the evening. Service really OK, but the menu is very unimaginative. The ordered dishes were very carelessly prepared and the taste was really utopian. The manager's salad is not recommended... what is that, you almost need a spoon to get something in your mouth. All in all, for the same price there are much better hotels in the area, quieter, better and probably cleaner too...
