The location of the hotel is very good, next to a commercial shopping center, restaurants and supermarkets are very complete. is the bathroom is relatively small.

What a joke. Canceled reservation to house migrants because the State has no limits on pricing. They give them free food and shelter and citizens including veterans do;t have a place to stay and reduces overall rooms in the area so price goes up. What a joke. Greedy hotel housing undocumented migrants, 235 elm st is Fairfield Marriott. Never stay with them.

The only positives were that the room was an adequate size and breakfast buffet was ok. Other than that, this was not at all up to Marriott standards. Rooms and halls smelled awful. Bldg itself was falling apart. Super run down. Pictures online did not represent at all what the hotel looked like inside or out.

This hotel was awful. There were ANTS in the room and there were wet towels left in the refrigerator when we first walked in the room. The air in the whole place was damp and the halls were sprayed with excessive, overpowering air freshener to mask the mold smell. The ceiling had patches from leaks. We did not expect luxury, but at least the rooms should be basically sanitary and well serviced. It felt like you would get a disease from this place. I would never stay here again, even for FREE. Total waste of money and unpleasant experience.

I booked three rooms (in February!) for my fathers 80th Birthday party on September 23. . Family traveled from afar to attended . Boston area hotels book up quickly and they are expensive. I received an email on SEPTEMBER 13 that my rooms were CANCELED. NO explanation/instructions or offer to help re book. I called the hotel directly and a man told me that all reservations were canceled. “The cancellation is to house the migrants “. “The state took us over” The state doesn’t “take over “ with out an agreement from the hotel. I called Marriot Bonvey and they re booked me in another hotel and I had to pay more !!!! No reply from Marriot. No reply from the Fairfield Inn. No apologies (although they said I received an apology in email which I did not). I can’t believe the poor way in which this hotel and Marriot hotels treated us and the very bad position they put us in. And then blamed the state. So our taxes are paying for the higher end hotels for migrants AND I had to pay more myself for my family to have housing. This is crazy.

I work in this industry.. your room cleanliness depends on the employee. Someone definitely needs to check over work after seeing other reviews on here. Our room was VERY clean. Upsetting the pool was closed. The ice machines need to for sure be fixed. More towels/soap in room would be helpful for everyone. I agree the hallways don’t smell the best. It is too expensive a night for the issues but our room was amazing.

One of the worst hotel experiences ever. This place should not carry the Marriott name. It was dirty and disgusting and the smell in the halls and room was atrocious. It was like a motel room that is rented by the hour. We could not leave as we had 4 littles that were exhausted so we stayed but please do not take your family to this place.

Absolutely horrible smells the permeate the rooms, hallways, and elevator, broken plugs, broken ice machines, not clean, and horrendous decor. This is a super 8 with Marriott’s prices. Stay away if you are expecting the experience of a Marriott!

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights after seeing a concert with Bret Michaels. I was worried because some recent reviews made the hotel sound…bad. But we were very happy! The room was clean except for a few hairs on the bathroom floor, the beds were incredibly comfortable, there was no weird smell, and the free breakfast was decent. Honestly I slept better here than I do at home. There was also a Luke Combs concert in town for both nights of our stay so the hotel was pretty full, but we never had any issues. The only thing I didn’t love is that the bathroom sink is tiny, and it’s separate from the toilet and shower. So I couldn’t fit all of my stuff on it and getting ready in the morning was a bit awkward. But that’s not a dealbreaker for me; I’d definitely stay here again.
