Visited House Martin as part of an Exodus Group. What a beautiful place to stay. A very warm welcome, wonderful hosts, clean and extremely comfortable rooms in the beautiful town of De Rust. Would absolutely recommend a visit here.

I had a very enjoyable stay at the House Martin Guest House 17 - 19 October 2025. I was part of the George Camera Club group which, I believe, booked out the guest house. We were looked after by Thersa and Martin and the breakfasts and suppers were very good. The accommodation was clean and well maintained and we were able to do photographic shoots in the lovely dining room.

Probably my 6th stay at House Martin - as always, superbly appointed accommodation, well laid out and managed gardens, excellent siting as to De Rust's offerings and, again as ever, friendly and accommodating owners. Highly recommended.

Excellent accommodation. Food and hosts also excellent. Would recommend this venue without a doubt! Great accommodation for cyclists attending races in the vicinity or just wanting to cycle around De Rust area.

Stay was excellent , just the noise from Hotel opposite the Guest House and the traffic - trucks and busses made it a bit difficult to get a good nights rest

I write this having just checked out and my only complaint is that we leave too early, wish we had another couple of days here. Theresa and Jan were amazing hosts with two evening meals for our party of 13 that were just lovely. Fresh local produce and an enthusiasm for the region was a joy to behold. The gardens and verandas lead to a relaxed colonial feel and you could while away hours doing nothing . Stop here but better, stay for a while. Thank you for a magical couple of nights.
