It's clean but...
If your only criteria for supposedly high service hotels is cleanliness, then you will be fine at the Daytona Beach Grande Oceanfront. But, if you want service, a welcoming atmosphere or indeed, even a luggage rack or facial tissues in your room, this is not the place for you. The lobby is forbidding and the staff was less than helpful. After a scheduling snafu with the reservation, the hotel staff went out of their way to snarl at someone who had used a "third party booking service" (*******). Even the call center personnel at ******* sitting oceans away tried harder to make my stay more pleasant. I understand the hotel has been plagued by construction issues and that the chief developer (a Russian) has had tax issues (and offshore accounts to dodge taxes). I am not surprised. Travelers may want to give this place a very wide berth.
