Lyme Bay House

Requested a single room on the Monday when I phoned , as was only staying one night, (came down from the West Midlands to surprise my sister-in-law and husband on their 60th diamond wedding anniversary), I was given a king size superior bed, charged £85, no breakfast given at this time of year, thought this was a bit steep in price as it is not a hotel, silly me did not ask the price before accepting the booking!! Better staying at the lovely Blenheim hotel on the corner, but they are closed atm for renovations.

Dave, Pauline & Steven WE HAD A LOVELY TIME IN THE LYME BAY QUEST HOUSE DAWLISH, NIKIE AND IAN ARE WONDERFUL HOSTS. THE ROOM WAS SPOTLESS, THE BREAKFAST'S WERE GREAT. EVERYTHING WAS ON OFFER WE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL TIMES WOULD GO BACK AGAIN WE RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS GUEST HOUSE! STATION - 4 MINUTES AWAY BUS STOP OUT SIDE

I will make it simple so you don’t have to waste your time and read the rest. We would rate you A1. The location is perfect for being close to the centre of Dawlish. Lyme Bay House is easy to find and our room had a great view of the sea. Ian and Nikki were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The room we took was No. 1, which was ideal for us. The bed was extremely comfortable and the en-suite was excellent. The whole reception area and dining areas were spotless which does them credit as this now the end of the summer season. Nikki’s breakfasts were outstanding, the fruit salad was just great as was her home made bread which superb as toast. Full English breakfast is highly recommended. We left a day early due to the weather changing for the worst and the weather forecast indicated that the rains would be torrential for a considerable time and there was a risk of localised flooding. This would not have affected our stay but it would limit what we could do. To finish with, thank you Ian and Nikki it was nice meeting you and stating at Lyme Bay House. Beautiful guest house, excellent breakfast, room lovely large comfy bed, very clean. Nikki and Ian made us very welcome, licenced bar home from home experience would recommend this bb without a doubt, best weve stayed in, warm and welcoming.

Lovely family run place near to the beach and all amenities in the fabulous town of Dawlish nice and close to the beach .very friendly excellent breakfast couldn't ask for more. will go again and will recommend to our friends thanks to Nokia and ian .

We stayed for a short break in beautiful Dawlish. Having commuted past on previous Dawlish stays we chose Lyme Bay House as our base. What an amazing stay we had. Nikki is the perfect host, nothing is too much trouble! The room was modern, immaculate and extremely clean, We both had a perfect night's sleep which is generally unheard of when we stay away from home! The sea view from Room 1 is stunning and the morning sunrise is definitely worth seeing! A short 2 minute walk from Dawlish and the seafront. Would highly recommend the breakfast, high quality well cooked produce that certainly sets you up for the day. Sorry Nikki but we will now be making your amazing B and B a regular event during the year!
